Tokyo Xtreme Racer
Immortal Clown Specs
Can someone please share the specs of Immortal Clown's car? I haven't been able to beat him yet because his car is obviously not stock and I want to waste as little money as possible on this ugly four-wheeled cube. So far I've got T4 Power Unit, T3 Exhaust and Intake, and nitrous, but he just walks away and it's too late when I catch him up in the corners.

How much power does his car have and how much does it weigh so I can tune mine as close as possible to that without wasting money?

Immortal Clown's spec is at the game's current maximum level, Level 6 Power Unit.

I never challenged him until I'm done with the game so having the remaining nodes in the Tuning section, when I race against him I'd say it's on par.
FInally beat him and can confirm, he's fully upgraded and has 188 PS, same as your car with max power upgrades. It's kind of annoying though, he still has a much higher speed metric somehow and it seems like certain rivals have an artificial boost of some sort: even when driving a car of the same spec, nitrous, gear ratios as short as they'll go...they still just disappear into the distance. Not a really annoying boss, there are worse offenders, but it's just a pain in the ass having to waste money on this bucket.

Oh, well, at least you can sell and get 80% back!
Can confirm, Level 6 Power Unit does the trick.

The real clown is us for spending so many credits on upgrades
You can easily beat him with starter cars. He's easier than Melancholic angel, even post buff.

Skill deficiency.
My specs? Real big 😉
idk, with nitrous he's beatable on pre-cinderella specs. Just mess a little with gearing and start a battle somewhere on C1.

Reading comprehension deficiency: you can't beat him with starter cars because you can't race him with starter cars, you can only race him with the Toyota bB...

That's exactly the way it feels. Pretty easy to beat once you're on equal footing, managed first try, but it's really annoying having to spend so much on upgrades for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hence the question that motivated this thread in the first place :D

It's a troll, don't bother.

Forum is full of "i beat the game without a car, screen turn off, game not bought and me doing pancake".
Everytime someone says "skill issue", you know it's a troll.

(nice to know the clown is a waste of money, i was wondering about that tonight, dodged a bullet :p )
Just my personal opinion, but considering that Clown isn't a progression barrier like Angel was, I'd like to see him be even stronger than he is now. I'm on board with making bosses difficult but fair, but with the Wanderers, I wanna see them go nuts with a few of them, as long as it doesn't block the base progression.

I am a bit biased here though, because as ugly as the sh1tbox is, I kinda like it as a car to customize in my garage, so I've got no issues dumping upgrades into it.

Edit: on that note, id kill to have a wanderer that was just a 900hp/ps TownAce (traffic van) in the final release that just smokes you first time when you aren't expecting it, and almost every time after even if you are. It'd be a nice reminder of when I held the Hakone outbound crown for like a year straight with my 810hp HiAce in my local arcade on WMMT3.

Without putting 2mil into the engine upgrade, I got lucky and crashed the guy. That's with mid and max upgrades plus nitrous. Just trying to check a box at this point. The current end game is just going to be grinding from car to car and upgrade to upgrade. I hope it's a little more fleshed out at some point, but at least there's something to work toward.
