Highway Gambler ?

So... I'm currently at 214/216 rivals beat.

I've gotten all the perks, but the limit of my wallet is 15 million credits, so... how do we get to the 77,777,777 required for Highway Gambler ?

Is not being able to battle all rivals a Whirlwind Fanfare reference? xD

And btw, is there really an engine level 7 option? Also not currently unlocked via perks... Can someone drop some info?

you slow down while youre infront, its risky at first but I figured on a normal uninterrupted run, you get to 100m infront of shuwa shuwa and then brake hard, that way he'll be infront of you after the race ended, I kept a 109 win streak like this and only threw it away bc I failed a drift lol

Awesome are you using the Melancholy RX-8 or something different? I will give it the old one hour test and see if i can replicate your results. thank you for the help and tips!!

yup, I tried a few other cars, but her RX8 is op. Idunno how long my run took, but it surely wasnt 2 hours and it was 12 mil, try and be more on the safe side on braking and be really careful about draws, let shuwa shuwa take the lead for junctions if you're unsure and follow him, keeping the win streak is key

if you can, ram him into the wangan route, its easier to quickly chain races against him there

now that I type all this out, its def a lot more active grind, so its probably not for everyone

on any other car its probably a lot slower, her rx8 has insane accel and overtakes everyone from the getgo, even with a fully tuned and gear ratio adjusted skyline I wasn't able to do that

yeah my FD currently can get a little streak going on him but i see what you are saying about breaking when you are about 100m ahead and he flys by me after i win the race. i can definitely see this being faster than my method over an hour if you can perfect the technique. good find man

wait, only 5 mil? did you go to PAs often? I did a similar run and got 12 mil, never went to a PA and got 100k per race. Melancholic Angel's RX 8 barely loses tire grip, so just keep racing Shuwa Shuwa Strong or Cinderella Past Midnight and keep the consecutive race win multiplier.

This is the way! now that i have the Melancholy rx-8 i have done some testing and it is a little tricky to keep the streak alive however if you get the hang of it, it is just as fast as battling whoever you come across, maybe just barely slower due to the deviation of where he finishes the race. however the money is so much better it makes it worth the time. the most i had seen from a normal car was 31k and he gives you like 100k plus per run

My strategy is White Revolution. Can easily be beaten post Midnight Cinderella. Always is on the wangan line heading north. Extremely long stretch of straight highway, so you can sort of do this half paying attention. Use the perk for 8% addl CR from rival's. By 20 win streak, you're getting close to 150k CR per race. Got about 7 mil from a single hour.

*EDIT*
Also, it helps to let off the throttle once you get roughly 90 yards ahead. You'll be able to coast from there, the CPU will catch up just a little, and it speeds up the time as you don't have to reverse, turn around, or simply wait to race again.

I second this strat. Currently what I'm doing now and by far the easiest. White Revolutions patrol pattern is all straight aways except for the c1 outerloop.
