Solution for Cloud Saves

So like many of us, I have different devices I would love to play the game on. I have a gaming laptop, PC and my Ally X. I love being able to play on the couch with my Ally X, but then I also like to sit at my desk in a chair on my gaming PC or laptop.

I did some research and through trial and error, I found the perfect backup and file sync solution between multiple PC's.

First and foremost, the save files can be copied over to a new PC so, long as it is in the proper folder. That folder would be: C:\Users\*your username*\AppData\Local\TokyoXtremeRacer\

I am using a combination of Google Drive and GoodSync (personal edition). You need to download and install Google Drive for Desktop and GoodSync as well. First, let's start with Google Drive. After the startup process, you will want to go into preferences and under My Computer, select the folder containing the save file mentioned above. This will make sure that the files will be available offline and will automatically download the latest version from Google Drive. Now, we need GoodSync so that we make sure our latest save file gets uploaded into Google Drive. Upon installing GoodSync, create a new job and the left side should be pointing towards "C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\TokyoXtremeRacer"
NOTE: If this folder on one of your PC's it's because you have not launched TXR on that PC yet. You must launch it once so that it creates this folder. From here, you will want to add your Google Drive account to the right side. In my Google Drive, I created a folder called Tokyo Xtreme Racer which is where my save file will exist across multiple PC's. Once you select this folder under Google Drive, you will want to turn on auto sync so that this process is purely automatic and will save your file without you thinking about it. To do this, click the Auto button on the right and check off the "On File Change" button and enter 10 second delay. Also, check off Run without User Interface so that the program has permission to sync without a hitch. You will need to enter your PC password here. Once that is setup, I like to turn on Account Sync (found on the left) so that this job gets saved to my account and any other PC I login to with my GoodSync account already has this job saved. Also make sure AutoRun is turned on. From here, you're ready to Analyze and Sync. Let it run and from here, any time there is an update on your save file, it will sync to Google Drive automatically.

The last step is to repeat the steps above on each PC you want to play the game on. The process takes about 10-15 minutes to set up, but I have found it to be so worth it! I hope this helps others and holds us over until the game gets official cloud save support!
