Melancholic Angel unbeatable even with cheat

I've come to a point that i had to use cheat engine to have infinite nitro but still couldn't beat her. At the moment all you only need is luck to beat her

Plenty of people have beat her. You can do it. Its not supposed to be easy.

i think she is tuned up in this version as a sudo final boss untill the full game releases. keep on keeping on you will get her!!

I got her in about 8 tries or so, she loses a little bit of grip off the line so I used that (and some nitro) to get side-by-side with her and wear down her SP bar. Then managed to plow her into some traffic and took the win

This is what worked for me:

1. Have a fully tuned car, Get the Legendary Tuner upgrade(preferably Engine, I did it with Intake)
2. lose to Melancholic Angel 3-4 times in a row before using Nitrous
3. continue challenging Melancholic Angel until at the very beginning of the race they lose traction and pull to the side like they are going around a car and Slam the Nitrous.
4. Pray you don't crash


At first I thought it was a bug they were so fast, but i do think it was intentional, especially since they are one of the last bosses in Early Access.

i used a s14. i saved my nitro. i keep battling her until she brakes a little in the beginning. then i use my nitro and get pass her. took me a lot tries. i got the name LOSER because of her.

She has more HP than any car in the game can achieve for the player, and about 200 more than you can bring against her due to the absolutely stupid fact you can't get more than basic upgrades in starter boxes until after you beat the final boss

I had to play dirty to beat her, it's so dumb how broken she is for someone who isn't a Wanderer. Although, I feel like this is just an Early Access thing, and halfway through my struggle to beat her I was beginning to wonder if Genki made her near impossible on purpose because of the game being Early Access

It's not because it's EA that there are bosses whose only way to win is to leave it to luck or win the dirty way, but it's like a tradition in TXR.
I don't know if that would be acceptable today.

Yeah as a longtime player this is pretty much always the case, but I can see this comes as a surprise to newcomers

This is our "dark souls" boss. Right now I'm working on a transmission tune for the RX8 starting with takign the final drive ratio and maxing that and tuning the gears so they feel like I accelerate fast through them but they aren't overly short following https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3414398244

I'm also out on the map testing how the transmission feels by racing the random traffic (and any team members I come across) so I can build win combo counter and start grinding some money while I'm testing.

While I'm doing this, I'm evaluating how the handling is setup and seeing if there's any tweaks to that I may want to do so the car performs better generally.

Had to play dirty to beat her with my S14. Tuned for quick acceleration ( Final drive ratio more than 5) and on soft tires.

It was on one of those tries where she brakes just as the battle starts for no reason. I had to sideswipe her against the wall until she'd come to a stop.

You're not the only one, I took that tuned RX8 and got lucky in Ginzan and she managed to put herself into the tunnel sideways after taking off from me... and was stuck there. That was on medium tires (was doing R&D and did a "oh why not?" and raced her) with the power boost from the legendary tuner.

At this point, I'll take the win however I can get it.
