My first TXR game. Having fun, some gripes...
Yes I know the game is early access. But there are a few things about this game really driving me crazy.

First, yes the camera shake thing has got to go. Its horrible. I usually race with the hood POV, so its not an issue for me, but its objectively bad.

Second, my god its infuriating constantly drawing against the computer because they chose a different route, when you were leagues ahead of them. Supposedly their AI is supposed to follow you?

Not sure I believe that. To me it feels like they simply have programmed routes, and you are just supposed to know their routes.

Sound design could definitely be improved, but that could be an early access thing.

Also some rivals appear to be absurdly fast. I guess its mostly the Melancholic Angel chick. There doesn't seem to be any real way to beat her besides cheesing her, or just getting lucky.

But finally, the racing aspect feels a bit weak. It doesn't feel like there is much skill involved. Its mostly your car is faster, or it just isn't. I guess its just kind of the style of the game, but it was a bit disappointing. They are mostly glorified drag races. No mechanics like drafting to help when your car is simply slower.

I get that its probably by design, but I still think my point stands.

That said, this game is an absolute vibe, and I've really been enjoying it. Its so fun to cruise Tokyo with your own music on and just race people randomly. I do really appreciate that aspect, where you have to go out and find people on the map and "challenge them". Feels way more immersive than picking their name from a menu and being teleported to a race.

Looking forward to see what else they do with the game.

The previous games had much better AI. The racers had more distinct personalities when racing. Hopefully this is just a "hard to figure out the AI in a completely new engine 20 years after the fact".... praying they get this thing polished to a mirror finish before getting out of early access.
