s13 or 180sx?

I reached the progression wall in the mx5
Which car will take me the furthest?
The basically have the same specs except the 180sx is heavier
I don't want the gt86 since Iv'e driven that to death in other games

The s13 has a turbo also. In fact, it has a higher speed metric than the 180sx

Also does the HICAS system in the 180sx even work in-game?

I started with the trueno, and changed to an S14 for the latter part of the game.
Seeing a lot of complaints for the difficulty of the bosses... but I could beat in 4-5 tries max... just have to set up the gear ratios a bit for the part of the highway (shorter for the C1, longer for the yokohama part)

I think it does work, at least to me the 180 does seem to handle better in corners. But unless you have major skill issue it's still not worth the extra weight. I hope they add a HICAS delete since I do prefer the 180 in terms of looks.

S13 has been carrying me along quite well. Also nitro helped me beat a level 13 wander and I’m still driver level 5. You also need to factor in the gear ratios while your car is still underpowered. Currently my S13 is on engine level 4 everything else level 1 or 2.

Went with the s13. I'm trying to save my currency but that s15 boss was a pure speed metric check, forcing me to upgrade to parts that will become obsolete after one more boss

I'd go for the 180 SX because there's a wanderer who will only battle you if you're driving that car.
