Please remove "Must Defeat Midnight Cinderella" locks on cars/upgrades
The car list in this game is quite small, and the list of cars that people actually want to drive in-game much more so. However all desirable cars are locked until after the final boss, meaning by the time you FINALLY get that R34 Skyline you get to race maybe 12 people with it. Meanwhile you are forced to spend 80% of the races in an RX8 because none of the other options prior to the final boss are less crap (180sx is better looking, but objectively worse).

Just drop that requirement and let us use the HORDE of BP we have to sit on during the last 3/4 of the game (As there is nothing left to unlock so you build up 80 BP with nothing to spend it on) so we can get the cars we want to drive before the final boss.

EDIT- As a note I made this post after completing the game on the launch day patch, meaning I beat pre-nerf Angel with a Tier 2/3 upgrade RX8. I beat Cinderella with the same car, FINALLY unlocked all the cool cars and realized there was only maybe 12-15 more races between me and 100% completion. The fact so many idiots went "lol skill issue" when it is actually a "I absolutely HATE the rx-8 so let me drive my beloved turbo-barge 3000GT" issue is utterly obnoxious. I am aware Cinderella is meant to be the half-way point in the full game, but at time of writing she is the final boss. Even if/when we do get the other half it is still very annoying to be stuck with a car I hate rather than being able to access 2/3rds of the cars (and all but 1 or 2 that I want) until that deep into the game.

In addition, the bosses before Midnight Cinderella were impossible to beat under the bad condition with RX-8 + level 2 parts.
A boss fight that can't be won in a fair fight is sucks...
Agreed. Locking cars and the amount of money in the wallet must be gone.
Yeah, weird decision
Honestly, the unlock tree is a cool system, problem is that the section of final unlocks should be placed a decent bit before Melancholic angel

Yeah, I was pretty confused seeing a bunch of the cars were locked until you beat Midnight Cinderella :( that bummed me out. Hopefully they change that down the line, so that the current endgame has more variety in car choices before those races. I REALLY wanted to use that Chaser... but alas.
I'm glad someone else said this, as I'm in the middle of constructing my full review. This was going to be one of my major points. The game is great, and I love it regardless, but the game feels too linear. I get that it's "early access", but I hope this does not make it into the final release. The CP cap makes it even worse, as you cap out and see how much credits you're not getting because you're "saving up for your dream car", so you find something to send your credits on.

We need this point to be louder- linear progression in a simulation is not good. We need more freedom to explore play-styles and different solutions. And your starter car should only take you so far- (sorry but a ~200hp Trueno does NOT beat even a stock GTR/Supra in any universe on a highway).

Totally agree, I also want the RX-7 FD , but it's not for a while.
When you beat cindarella it gives you 12 million CP, even though your max is way less (6 or 7 mill?) by skills you can unlock up to that point. You do get to keep the 12 though, then you can get the skills to up the wallet capacity. Does feel silly

This combined with the 7 mil cap is just so dumb, I lost like 3 mil credits bc I didn't have anything to buy while trying to progress as quickly as possible. I didn't do repeat races at all..
My dudes, this game is not finished.

Have you even read the Early Access page? Story is only 50% finished. MC is NOT the final boss... There's still 50% of the game yet to come, which you can then race with those unlocks.

I swear to god, people buy ♥♥♥♥ and start malding without even reading the store page once... RTFM should be tattooed on some ppls foreheads, so they see it each time they look into a mirror.

Sorry but it wasn't really that difficult. Just get the RX-8 with level 2-3 parts,.

For Midnight Cinderella I beat her after like 10 times challenging her. First 4 times I used my S13, but that was a no go. Once I got the RX-8, I just kept challenging her over and over until 1 round, she hit a car, I passed her and used the NOS.

I do not think anything needs to be changed, it's not fun if you can beat every boss with 1 attempt. There should be a challenge.

I only got 5 million after I beat her?

I kinda agree. I would dare to say that difficulty might need to be harder IMO. Finished entire "story" (that Early access had to offer) now im grinding towards 77mil CP wanderer to finish 100%.
Only Melancholic Angel was "The Problem" during my play time. Other rivals seemed easy if You use right car for right purpose. For example i played most of the game with Levin and then switched to s14 when it came to higher speed straight sections. Levin being light weight DOMINATED rivals in corners (because their AI just uses waaaaaay to much braking) But when it came to longer straights and less corners, My Levin turned into regular traffic car from rival's point of view.

To sum it up, Yes you need to cheese some Rivals with Traffic cars or corners. But i would dare to say that comparing this to Legendary TXR3 (my favorite in the series) TXR 2025 is "Easy mode"

One thing that was annoying is the way AI is programmed to switch lanes when traffic is ahead. They will just ram and push you like they don't even notice the player. That was super annoying.
why are we forced into an rx8, literally an embarrassment of a car that cant last 60k miles without blowing up.
they arent fast. they dont look good either. so why the forced "this is the only car that can win statistically" when in reality a beat up 200000 mile stock ford probe would pew p all over that rx8.
