My Dreamcast Finally Can Rest?
I have a Sega Dreamcast for a couple of games, TXR being one of them! I didn't even know it had such a legacy and fan following until Steam showed me this morning and I'm anxiously awaiting the release. ty to the team for keeping arcade racing relevant!

Dreamcast can never rest! As the narrator said in Soulcalibur: "The legend will never die!"

Funny that you mention it because I just picked up the first Dreamcast game (I had the second). I've been loving this game on early access and it makes me want to go back to play the old games again.

TXR2 for Dreamcast is actually my favourite, followed by Racing Battle - C1 Grand Prix (which is technically not a TXR game but made by Genki and has similarities; shares gameplay features) and TXR3 (though TXR3 did took a while to win me over),

I can't guarantee it's not just my impression, but, muscle memory kicked in almost immediately in playing the new TXR. To the point where... I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't the same physics somehow. As far as the core game goes, couldn't be happier.
this all sounds excellent, and i am glad some other dreamcast players spoke up, i was feeling pretty Old 😂
Dreamcast will forever be my goat console.
Yeah the game selection isnt the best, but the console itself is just chefs kiss
AMEN!

My Dreamcast it's been resting inside it's box for more than a decade now... it just stopped turning on one day. Sad day...
Maybe one day I'll build the willpower to fix it, just for fun maybe. I bet the VMU won't work anymore too now.

It's probably fine. I got tired of having to replace coin cells in mine, so I modded it ages ago to have 4 AAA batteries (which made it just a tiny bit bigger...), and after sticking new batteries in, it's perfectly fine despite sitting in a box for forever.
I've actually been replaying TXR on Dreamcast (and will move on to PS2) while waiting for the final version of this game to drop (I've beaten the Early Access).

Its fighting games were unmatched at the time and it had some great racers. Even better if you were into importing games.

Just now some of the fighting games that were stuck on Dreamcast are coming to modern consoles in some of the new Capcom collections.
i had txr3 for ps2 and the clone on x360 and couldnt stop going back to them.

If you're talking about ITC, that ain't a clone. For some reason Genki decided to go to the 360 instead of PS3. It was also published in the US by Ubisoft rather than Crave, which might explain the change in name.

My Dreamcast won't rest until we get Skies of Arcadia on PC
I still love my Dreamcast, its even better now with HDMI and ODE(GDEMU) support. Still gets new games too. There was a Game Jam that ended earlier this month that gave us around 20 new games to mess around with.

MS was hungry to succeed in Japan at the time, they probably made a great deal with Genki for the game. Came out before the PS3 was even out and the PS3 was a beast to program for. Many if not most multi console games ran way worse on PS3. Genki probably couldn't afford it.
