really? thats exactly what i've wanted for awhile.. i'll have to keep an eye on it. That and nfs underground 2 are my favorite racing games ever.
Sounds interesting. I'll wishlist it and wait for some updates. I dont know how i've never heard of this series growing up.
Think of it as "the last RPG Battle Racing hold-out".
The same way Mountain Drift Racing games had their basis with Initial D, this game's basis is Wangan Midnight by the same publisher.
Basically it's illegal Tokyo Highway Racing where two opponents compete for who can outrun who first.
It's not for everyone. But it is worth trying at least once.

TXR has always been their own franchise, with the closest actual comparison being the Wangan Midnight games
Do you know what is ironic about Wangan Midnight games? Both PS2 AND PS3 versions are made by Genki, the same company that founded the TXR series lol
If we go by that logic, Genki has monopoly the whole highway racing lol
