Tokyo Xtreme Racer
UI/UX bugs and glitches that need to be fixed
First of all, Thank You Genki for their effort to released this game even still in early access state. I've never been having fun ever since I've play TXR3 on PS2 back then. i have couple of thing that should point out for dev to make this game more polish.

For a Modern 2025 games, UI design is great in general. But i noticed couple of minor bugs when maneuvering whole menu especially in "Tune" and "Livery" menu.

in "Tune", the Level number not showing up, and can't upgrade it. I don't know why that happened, until i realize that i bought a "special tune up" from a Mechanic at PA which i presumed it installed in my current vehicle. because i can't upgrade it in my garage, i ended up sold that car and bought the new one of the same model, and back to zero again. I hope that its fixed.

in "Livery", mostly a minor bug on layer up and down button is seem flickering after i tried to rearrange the vinyl layer.

for UX in general, the cursor speed need to be set a bit faster, or have the alternative navigation button by using D-PAD

Hope the Genki sees this, and get is fix in the next update patch.. im actually suprised that for a early access title, this game runs better than expected.

If i have something not mention regarding this UI/UX bugs or some other things, feel free to add it in reply. I list this bugs based on my experience during 10 hours play time.

If you find a solution for the Tuning issue, please update, I am having the same issue, unable to upgrade the exhaust on one of my cars.

I second navigating menus with the d-pad as an option.

Don't have any bugs to report yet, but I feel the UI / Menus could need a few touch ups:

- It would be nice to see the cost of BP for something BEFORE hitting the purchase button. Either put it in the tooltip or add a small number overlay to the icon.

_ I would also love to be able to rotate my car without the need of pressing a button, halting all other operations.
It's annoying when applying decals or aero parts and you have to switch between the actual menus and the free-rotation mode to get a better view of what you're doing.
Likely due to the font used for US localization, there's a gigantic white space in the text after every solo apostrophe. Doesn't appear to be as obvious for quotation marks.

The primary bug I ran into was the "Power Tune" bug. I'm having the same issue and so far haven't really found a shot answer for resetting it or anything, mine happened after i had one of the parking lot mechanic tune my ♥♥♥♥ too.

I also had the Tune bug as well. I use BRZ GT with everything tuned to lvl 1 except engine and brake. Then I bought the Engine Special Tune Up from Legendary Tuner, ran for about 2 hours, and go back to garage. Then when I about to upgrade the engine, it didn't show the part I use (in this case "Genuine") and I can't buy the part as well thanks to that.

Hopefully it get fixed soon

like i said on that post, my solution so far is just sell the car that got upgrade, then bought a fresh new one. but risk are you have to grind the parts again from zero. hope genki fix this bug, its kinda annoying to grind for upgrade again..
I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with the vinyl layering buttons just not doing anything. Currently, I can not rearrange my layers even though there are buttons present to do so.
