Do you owned or even tried VR ?

I see that people who have never tried VR are always asking + assuming + guess

I guess that’s why VR will never be. Mainstream
I literally own a quest 2, and have been more than a few dozen hours in VR, yet i still don't get the necessity to VR-ify literally everything
cause we have zero interest in playing flat games. playing flat feels like playing on a phone screen compared to a 360 imax. most games just need a vr camera (like this one). not a lot of reason not to.

Plenty of reason not to from a development standpoint

It's manhours and resources diverted into something incredibly niche, especially in a studio with 0 experience in vr

If you want VR so badly go use UEVR since TXR's a UE5 game

That looks sick. UEVR is such a saving grace to us that love VR.

The people who talk crap about vr really just don't know what they are talking about and always try to gatekeep on these steam forums. It's really disheartening.
It also shows how little they know about gamedev when they talk about "resources or dev man hours" being used on something niche like vr when these big engines like UEl/Unity/Godot make it so easy to add vr support. Even without coding knowledge, it takes like 2 seconds to add a vr camera to your game in the unreal engine. I know because I've done it before.

Yeah, mostly the same people who talk down about VR don't own one to begin with. Imagining gatekeeping yourself as tech evolves. Quite a good way to miss out or bother trying something new.

Sucks to be them I guess, lol.

clearly someone hasnt been reading the thread. if UEVR can do it in one click, then it would take little to no resour es for official vr support. plus the racing sim world is huge on vr and although this is not full sim, simmers would want this for the nostalgia factor since they had to mod it into asseto corsa themselves over the last like decade

Also even though I wasn't even thinking about it, the graphics are probably basic enough to be able to accomplish a flat2vr standalone port and is probably the only racer who could (without a significant downgrade) that also has a pre existing VR base (due to assetto corsa modding). if its received well with uevr crowd, they should unironically consider contacting flat2vr studios for their porting services where they cover the development no cost for a portion of the port sales (if they're still offering that).

I don't know why you would make a VR standalone port when racing games are the only genre that doesn't require any kind of special tweaking to get a vr mode working.

I datamined the game and I've posted it on reddit. One of the first stuff I found is VR Mode (if it helps)

Not to burst anyone's bubble too much but that could just be something built into UE being discovered, same with the alleged "online" features found

Woah! That's cool as f. I didn't know the game actually had tachometer on it.
Now I see why are you asking for a VR mode for the game. Makes sense now.

Edit: you could make a mod for it.

Not every VR game needs to be first person. I play a ton of 3rd person VR games and like them just as much as first person vr games. Driving games included. Now I see this will be playable with the UEVR mod. If you dislike this post because you simply hate vr because you don't use it, calm down.

Another vote for VR support. As someone with experience driving the real Shuto expressway, the UEVR experience was incredibly close to the real thing -- official support please!

There will not be VR, many cars do not have interior any way. Please look elsewhere.

Seriously guys, interior does not need to be fully implemented. Please devs if you see this. Please make it playable in VR (use the beta version in steam if needed?) so we can have a serious setup. It only needs somes 'if in vr':
- Top to me would be the view changes (do not change view on race start/end for comfort)
- Controller support (does not need hand gesture, etc, just pointer/cursor and native controller button support)

Everyhting else (interior design, and "eye candy") are not needed

+1
All driving games should have VR. It's next level amazing.
