Because racing games are the only genre that -no matter what- "just works" in vr.
Works perfectly with UEVR and it's actually awesome. So it can be done. Since it's a UE5 title, an official VR mode wouldn't be too hard to implement.
But the game is still in early access for now, and it's quite good, no pressure or anything. But I don't see why an arcade racing game would be less interesting than a sim for vr.

So I don't know who is the "NPC" here.
3rd person driving games are a little bit odd, but if VR views are positive, ill probably buy in.
You use a profile to get inside the car? I'm stuck with hood cam, how'd you do this?!
Choose the hood cam, then adjust the camera with UEVR to get inside the cockpit. There is a tab within the tool that let you do this :)
Do you owned or even tried VR ?
I see that people who have never tried VR are always asking + assuming + guess
