Did you use DLSS with Ultra settings or Native?
I'll try it once I play again. I'm going to sleep.
Shadows also kills framerates almost just as much
Did some quick and dirty testing in just the garage area with some of the settings:
6700XT at 3440x1440 resolution
5800X3D
3600MHZ C18 32GB RAM
Game running on a Samsung 970 Evo Plus Nvme SSD
Fullscreen
Native Upscaling
TSR anti-aliasing
All settings low averaged 86 FPS as a baseline
Percentages are decreases in FPS per setting compared to the Low baseline. Also I noticed to get about 10 or so FPS higher on average when on the road compared to the garage when I faced the tutorial rival.
Draw Distance: No change in Garage, haven't tested on the road yet
Post Processing:
Low to medium was a 9.3% decrease
Low to High was a 10.5% decrease
Low to Ultra was a 12.8% decrease
Shadows:
Low to medium was a 20.9% decrease
Low to High was a 31.4% decrease
Low to Ultra was a 46.5% decrease
Global Illumination:
Low to medium was a 4.7% decrease
Low to High was a 36% decrease
Low to Ultra was a 54.7% decrease
Reflections:
Low to medium was a 2.3% decrease
Low to High was a 2.3% decrease
Low to Ultra was a 2.3% decrease
Effects:
Low to medium was a 0% decrease
Low to High was a 1.2% decrease
Low to Ultra was a 12.9% decrease
Shading:
Low to medium was a 0% decrease
Low to High was a 0% decrease
Low to Ultra was a 0% decrease
Texture (Ultra at 3440:1440 is using about 7.5 GB of VRAM while driving it seems):
Low to medium was a 0% decrease
Low to High was a 0% decrease
Low to Ultra was a 0% decrease
I wonder how different these would compare on an Nvidia GPU. Not sure if AMD is as optimized yet
True, but those psychos are out there tho
You can at least claw back some FPS by keeping it at medium and it doesnt look too bad from what I'm playing so far, at least its I'm not noticing it as an issue while playing
Will definitely buy now :)
