What low sales? Have you not noticed the hype? The game is currently sitting at the top of Trending on steamdb with 13k players. It is 10AM on a weekday.
If you want to play slop, go play The Crew Motorfest. Or, how about Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, since according to you, multiplayer "increases longevity". Genki created an optimized package that is full of content for Early Access that will continue to grow and at a generous price point, but it seems like you want another piece of broken uninspired "AAA" garbage that you'll be charged top dollar for.
I know it might be shocking to hear, but there are solutions to your problem that doesn't involve complaining.
Speaking as somebody that's worked in sales. The more people buy something, the longer it'll be supported.
The original NFS underground had multiplayer and that didn't stopped the game from being an excellent game all around, but keep coping that not having multiplayer "improves" the game somehow...
Consoles are a plague on this community, people nowadays think it is impossible to have multiplayer without central servers...
