There's also an unspoken payout multiplier that stacks up to 20 wins in a row (2x at that point, IIRC); one way to milk that is to just race every car you come across until you hit 20 and then seek-out higher value opponents like bosses and wanderers - just be aware your tires will be bald at that point and plan accordingly. Having an AWD car makes that easier if you're just wanting to farm credits.
Also be aware that while going to a PA will not reset the long run bonus, and won't reset the consecutive win counter, it will reset the consecutive win payout multiplier.
