lvl 14 boss's accelerate unbelievably fast
Im stuck at lvl 14 boss Shuwa Shuwa Strong. im using the RX 8 with all lvl 3 mods and i just cant keep up with him.
Shuwa and other lvl 14 boss's accelerates so much faster than me, even if i use a full tank of nitrous im not even close to keeping up. love this game but i feel like they just made lvl 14 boss's accelerate at godly rates.
I cant even upgrade my car anymore or buy anything better

Shuwa is probably the hardest boss in the game at the moment, the easiest way to beat him is bring him to areas with lots of turns like the C1 loop, but you could probably tune your car for max accel and get in front of him, or tune for top speed and hope you don't run out of SP before you eventually pass him

thanks for the reply. its nice to know that others are finding Shuwa to be difficult lol
trying to cheese the race with traffic or turns was what I was thinking also, but I was hoping I wouldnt have to use cheese but ill give it another try

Shuwa travels westward along the long straight (I think it's the Bayshore line) and then turns up to Daikoku. It's your best bet to start the races with him there. Mostly use nitro to try to not let him get too far; once you are able to more or less tailgate him, he begins to do zig-zags and that's where he is likely to make mistakes for you to overtake him, after which you can mostly drive defensively. Be prepared for a long race though.
Do not try to race him at the 3-lane straight. You would not have enough SP at your current level to catch up and overtake him, even with nitro, unless he makes a stupid mistake. Even with LV 6 Power and Lv 4 Intake/Exhaust, some cars still cannot overtake him with Lv 3 SP Defense. I think the RX-8 also can't and needs nitro to do so.

P.S I'm not a racer. so my cars may not even be tuned optimally. But the race is definitely doable. :)

I use the 3rd Toyota you get from the Toyota Machine Tree and then blocked every time he tried to pass me
You can beat him if you can go above 270kmph
Failing that, Shuwa is terrible in curves, including the one at the end of the highway.

I started the race just before the turn going over Daikou Parking Area and was able to beat him :praisesun:
Used the Mazda RX-8. You'll need full nitrous and tune your LSD for torque. I also used the cards for 3 second SP protection. From there it takes a couple tries for him to slip up.

Also a side note, the level of the rival only affects how quickly the SP bar will move, since rivals get their own ATK and DEF stats just like we do. Their level doesn't affect their speed or anything else that im aware of, but im guessing Genki is using their level as a guide to get us to race lower level rivals first.

He is Shuwa Shuwa weak in the corners, use that to your advantage. Otherwise tune your final drive gearing towards acceleration (not fully you will need reasonable top speed) nitrous and if need be legendary tuners power unit upgrade.

Not true, i challenged him on a straight in my GR86, after massively out accelerating me, he crashed so i had a chance to catch up. My car is maxed at 272km/h and i could not pass him!. I would draft him to 275, get on the side of him to get a speed boost of 278 then as my car cannot go above 272, i fell behind. Hes top sped is in the range of 275-280km/h.

And yes he must be nerfed. Hes top speed must be reduced to 270 km/h flat, and a heavy! nerf to the acceleration. When you are setting up 2-4th for acceleration, apply the nitro and STILL he massively out accelerate you, then you know the car is imbalanced.

The fact that you have to cheese him and follow him for 15 mins while you get to corners where he is weak, is further proof that he needs a nerf.

Tried him on at least 10 times, cannot beat him as he is now.

Turns out that Shuwa Shuwa, is, in fact, strong.
Shuwa is basically the drag racer of the game. his weakpoint is top speed. you need to use nitro to survive to your top speed and then use that top speed to defeat him. IIRC 260 km/h is enough to win.

To finish what? The game? I finished the game way before that. I was the first to defeat angel with no nos, auto shift, multiple times, pre-nerf. I also beat all the rivals. I also don't cheat, so I have to grind and race.
So, assuming Angel was last, who you beat using a Skyline GTR, that was on day 270. How am I wrong? You said the "entire EA".

I beat the game with an rx-8. The rest I bought and modified after.

So it took you 270 days of modifying before you challenged Melancholic Angel? Actually, don't answer that, it's way off-topic.

Which method did you use to beat Shuwa Shuwa Strong?
