The PS2 sucks though. Very poor sound.
The 360 and ps3 versions weren't bad for the time but the arcade and dreamcast versions are consider the best if I remember right.
Hoping they include some extra modes like a custom ratio mode that has been modding into the Dreamcast version by fans before.
Likely just the arcade versions but really no real benefit in them anyway.
MvC1 had a four player mode on the Dreamcast though and the PS1 version got turned into a single hero game which is an interesting way to replay it.
MvC2 though, Arcade/Dreamcast are the best version and if they really wanna make it wide screen it's easy to patch that in but would prefer they didn't.
It's the arcade version!
They even list the exact version on the website
https://www.capcom-games.com/marvel-vs-capcom-fc/en-us/title/marvel-vs-capcom2/
"The Sega Dreamcast's arcade counterpart, the Sega NAOMI, has the same CPU, the Hitachi SH-4, at the same clock rate, but is more powerful in other ways, including an updated PowerVR2 GPU with faster performance, additional RAM and VRAM, higher bandwidth, and faster ROM cartridge storage."
Would be rather easy for them to add those really but thankfully wouldn't take away from the gameplay.
