and poorly designed sub-boss.
You're not kidding.
I had a MUCH harder time with Juggernaut than I did Magneto.
At least with Magneto I found that he seldom blocked Air roundhouse + air or
standing fierce (although he had a VERY bullsh-- habit of insta-counter attacking
after the string). Juggernaut on the other hand? Almost never stopped blocking
any attacks, often forcing me to risk attacking him when he can just super armor
of just eat the hit and steamroll me.
The Juggernaut fight is just filled with bullsh--
1. Insta counter attacks
2. Has way faster recovery than you
3. Insane damage
4. Can take out a piece of debris for even longer reach than he already has
5. Can power himself up for more damage
6. Blocks nearly everything you throw at him
Like ♥♥♥♥ man, you'd think this was an SNK boss or some bullsh--.
In contrast, the AI for Marvel Super Heroes was nowhere near as cheap
as Children of the Atom's was. And Dr. Doom and Thanos were NOWHERE
near as cheap or broken. Doom I beat in one shot and Thanos puts up a
fight, but he has none of Magneto or Juggernaut's cheapness.
Will try this when I get back to it.
Example: just walk up to Juggernaut and throw him around.
Even putting on a 1-star difficulty still makes the AI for the most part, still
difficult as hell, and Jesus Christ, it seems like Magneto is somehow HARDER
then in the standard 4-star.
Good to see I'm not alone in this opinion.
*Gulp*
Huh?
Marvel Super Heroes is nowhere NEAR as unfair as the AI was in this game. Hell, Doom
has nowhere near the same amounts of bullsh-- Juggernaut did, and Thanos? I was able
to one-shot him with most of the roster.
Compared to CoTA, where everyone but Juggernaut needed close to or over a dozen
tries to beat Magneto, let alone Juggernaut because those two are blatantly cheap.
For some reason I have huge problems vs Psylocke; she seems to have an answer for everything I try as Wolverine, and I can't even punish her fireballs when I get a clean jump-over of them. Same trouble vs Juggernaut and his low, ranged earthquake thingies; got to him on difficulty 1 but couldn't figure out a way to get consistent clean hits so he pretty much wiped the floor with me repeatedly. ; )
back to 0-star, damage lvl 8, and fast countdown.
Only way to do go about this. Jesus what bad AI design.
But yeah the difficulty curve or right angle or whatever you'd call it is a bit rough in this one. ; D
