you're in their realm now. find other people at your skill level, get good or just leave.

you are one of the problems. Already just mean to newbies. Give some tips and be nice. Only 500 players active. it will deterioate in a month and no one is playing the game everyone waited for 20 years.

thats the culture of online gaming because its attracts a VERY specific type of person. from a "society" standpoint the people who are the BEST at online games, are also the worst for society. So you either join them, or leave.
Has toxicity in gaming only just sprung up for you in MvC2? Because I see it in every game I play. Plus the people that are the greatest generally are that great because thats all they do. They have no real lives and don't know how to interact with others. I've been playing it since it came out at the arcades. I'm fantastic at it. When it came to XBOX360 you saw a whole knew surge of people playing and they were super toxic. Didn't really have that at the arcades. But they are toxic in Red Dead Redemption, Shooter games, GTA, I mean name one where they aren't toxic. So you can't complain about it because it won't change things. And you aren't going to learn fully playing someone better than you. You have to practice in practice mode and then the regular game like everyone else... then you play the ranked or what not and you'll have a chance but expecting everyone to be like me and be nice... is like expecting everyone hurting in the world to just be nice to you because they don't know you. Misery loves company. Adapt or disperse. Tough Love Sundays

Do you have an exemple? Genuinely asking.
If you are talking about the way they play thats just kinda how the game is. If they are verbally being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cuz they are new thats def a vocal minority and/or they actually aren't as good as actually good players and are excited to finally get some Ws (which is pretty wack). The oldheads at my local are extremely nice teaching new players and ♥♥♥♥.

Sorry but not really.

You entered the realm of the FGC, and not just the FGC but MvC2 a game that is beloved by its veteran players and no mercy is given. We been playing this for 20 years and want to play it to the fullest of our abilities at the top skill mountain as much as possible.

It is your own responsibility to get better at it like we all had to.

compared to most other fighting games, the veterans are (mostly) actually pretty nice.
if you dive on a top tier team they respond in kind, but if you pick something that's not meta, most of the time they'll go to some weird character combos too. yeah they'll still whoop you with that team, but you at least won't be up against MSP try-harding every game.

play with friend only. it's simple enough.

i think capcom should patch in a ration mode patch. that would be cool for a ranked mode option.

ayo sometimes ♥♥♥♥♥ jus funny bro. jus laugh n enjoy n try to get better.
You know what's funny? After you get bullied in game, if you stopped acting like such a whiny baby and reached out to any of these players they'd actually take the time to help you.

It's gate keeping in the best way. You improve and take your loss well, you get help. That's the way it was and the way it always will be in these old games. You whine like a little baby on the steam forums and you get made fun of for it.

As such, the community naturally weeds out toddlers. People who play MvC2 love to bust each others balls and have a good time. But outside the game everyone is genuinely pretty nice and helpful.

We get it modern games have removed taunting, chat, voice chat, and really any other avenue for griefing left. Then you come to MvC2, a game that's built on bugs and playing lame, you're going to get your ass beat. It's up to you to get better and not be a crybaby about it. Tons of resources and people willing to help you out there. This game is complicated and it doesn't hold your hand. You have to actually learn it.

So you have a choice you can either fix your attitude or leave. No one cares about you specifically. You aren't special. People have been playing this game for 20+ years without you and will continue to do so.

that sounds like a you problem not a me problem. Im pretty sure no one is being mean to you and you're just bad at the game tbh. beating someone at a game =/= being mean to them.

Just because you're losing fights doesn't mean the winner is toxic. Learn some sportsmanship.
