Is Onslaught playable in this version?

I remember playing the PS1 version as a kid and he was definitely playable in that version from what I remember. Will he be playable in the Arcade port as well?

Sadly, no, none of the big characters (Apocalypse, Onslaught, Abyss) are playable in this release, only the human sized secret and boss characters from each of the games.

Probably the reasons being is zoners would most likely beat them easily as they can't block. (Just imagine the offline and online matches if that happened), and that they probably didn't code them properly in a what-if scenario if they face each other in mirror matches (probably bugs and glitches). Also, they don't have endings coded (though the obvious solution would be to skip that part and go straight to the credits).

But yeah, the only other way to play as the big guys would to play the old console versions, possible for Apocalypse and Onslaught through their specific versions (with their own requirements), for Abyss however, hacks/cheats/etc. would be required, as there's no actual way normally to play as him.

However, considering this is a PC/Steam version of it, and there's chances of either mod support or otherwise. There would most likely be a way to do so, but not officially. Considering the reasons I've explained above.

The onslaught from the Arcade is very different from the PS1 version. For starters the Arcade version has no hyper moves. When they did the PS1 version they turned 3 of his special moves into Hyper Moves in the 1st form and two special moves from the 2nd form.

Megaman probably wont have the Magnetic Shockwave hyper combo too.

I tried hacking the stage of apocalypse before and it results in a glitch were the body appear without the head. I was trying to record Cyber Akuma.

Abyss is easy to hack. The problem is to find the address to change his stage as they change forms.
