No point in investing lots of your time to learn a 20 year old game. Casuals got slaughtered by pros and just left.
This kind of gate-keeping seems to happen regardless of the fighter. It's probably the same in other competitive games, too but I digress. I tried BBtag and ya, it's dead, but a very experienced player gave me literally no mercy despite obviously having no idea how to play with any of that game's systems. It would be nice to learn if given half a chance but these people must enjoy sitting in empty lobbies. /shrug
I've had PC issues until very recently and haven't bothered to pick this up but the fact it's already struggling is pretty sad. I was very excited for this collection since I never got to play any of these other that CotA way back in the day. Lowly times these are.
Ranked takes 5 to 8 minutes to find another player.
Custom Open lobbies are complete empty 90% of the time. Ran into maybe 4 players who are skilled. An 10+ players who quit once you show get a few good games on them.
Then once you do find a match have to deal with bad connection issues, lag and etc. Yet you tolerate ♥♥♥♥♥♥ connections because you want to play so bad; you began to not care who you play against as long as someone else is on the other side of the scrreen.
I mainly play Marvel Vs Capcom 2.
Friend me up anyone for causal matches. I dont play top tier to much. Let make it fun.
But this game is pretty Dead On Steam. Sure consoles have a larger player base then this.
185 Players Max in 24 hours Steam Count on this game after 3 or 4 months. Thats not good.
Hit me up for matches.
I remember during the 360/PS3 release of MvC2, people on GameFAQs were talking about things like techniques, combos or team setups more. But nowadays, you don’t hear people discussing them often, including on dedicated Subreddits.
Some people might not think it’s worth migrating from Flycast/Fightcade to this collection on Steam.
Going by SteamCharts, the player count peaked at 189 players in the last 24 hours.
