Also, these days, playing the Naomi arcade version either through legit hardware or other means these days, you can simply enter an operator/cheat code through the game's test menu, and you literally unlock everyone at the start.
As for stages though, yeah, I don't remember seeing the Naomi Arcade version having the alternative versions of stages in that version (unless otherwise), since in the trailer, it has the training stage from the console versions, weirdly enough, lol.
Unlockable characters and stages in fighting games suck.
Otherwise, on Max's stream, the EX Options for MVC 2 that they showed had displayed a toggle for "Secret Characters" and "Hidden Colors" (along with the light/flash reduction on/off).
So yeah, you can probably simulate the character unlock settings either to be from the base roster like booting MVC 2 for the first time to a few other settings (most likely on the Naomi unlock codes) to having the full 56 character roster. (Which, assuming by default, is on "All groups enabled".)
