cant kill Snap..

it seems no matter what i do, snap's health bar doesnt budge.. i even brought the barrel-bomb down, hoping it might blow him up... can anyone help me? i can't progress without getting by Snap..
btw. i bought the game by mail way back when the Developer first put it up on sale.. loved it.. just re-purchased on gog, and popped it into my steam library.. i am so pleased to see it finally made some good money for all that hard work :)

That sounds very strange, I've never heard of anything like it... When you hit him, does he lose health at all? There should be little numbers floating upwards.

I killed snap quite easily, didn't even need to use any health potions during the fight. Are you using proper weapons and armour and not just punching him with your fists or something? I used the Hoe of Doom (you get by finding a key in the mayor's home and using it to unlock the shed in another house, the hoe is inside) and the mirror shield you find right at the start. I think I also used a metal helmet I purchased from the skeleton who sells grave robbing tools at the entrance to the cave and I had some leather gloves and some body armour I found before I went in the cave. I used shield bash to hit him mostly until I ran out of mana, then I just used standard attack.

My follower had a soldier's dagger and a chef's hat.

just to clear up the mystery. i was using a mana refill cheat. it wouldn't work with bosses. so i turned it off and fight went normally. and not long after Snap, i stopped using it as my char was doing just fine. my apologies to the devs,

too bad none of the modders with new stories bothered to fix their movement bugs :(
