Bug: Game does not progress when player receives critical dmg and countdown is 00:00

I was in a minigame and then the game did not progress any further. It did not freeze, because the blue foo was still rotating. But no new scene was being loaded. I assume that 2 things happended at the same time: I received critical damage and the countdown reached zero (although I am not sure that there was actually a countdown)

Pressing keys did not change anything.

Edit: I watched some gameplay videos with the same minigame. There is no countdown timer. That makes it more tricky to determine what caused the problem...
