Then try to open it again
Still unsure if this is going to be a long time solution since I just got this to work the first time I tried it, but at least I can get the game running.
Good luck!
- install VS C++ 2005 redistribuable x64
- run direct X setup package with the game
- install Windows Media Player (yes... seems that the game needs WMP in order to run the intro)
getting WMP installed is what fixed the game.
Hope it'll help
Really worked, thank you so much! :)
Yep, it's the same for me. Nothing I've seen will work. Like I said, I've tried EVERYTHING. (DEP list, Run as Admin, Service Packs, Re-download, Install DirectX, and more)
I'm having the same issue on my new laptop. It loads to a Black screen and then crashes. My assert.txt is
The game works fine on all my machines except my laptop (a Lenovo Y50 with a GTX860M running 8.1). I also tried everything that you tried to no avail. I'm starting to think it's my laptop -- it uses the Nvidia Optimus tech to switch GPUs (I also tried running with the integrated GPU and 860M directly). Guilty Gear X2 #Reload, on the other hand runs with no issue.
I guess I could stream the game from my desktop, but I was hoping to play the game without having to do that.
