BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

For those with problems running the game...
First time I tried to run the game I got horrible fps and it crashed during the first fight. Managed to figure out that it was trying to run the game off of onboard graphics rather than my Nvidia card. I had to open my Nvidia control panel, add bbct.exe to the progrm settings list, and tell it to use my Nvidia card. After that game ran flawlessly. A lot out fighting games out recently have been doing that for some reason (Injustice and Mortal Kombat spring to mind.) Give it a shot if you're having issues. Hope it helps someone. :)

For the people who still can t play the game on Win 7 :
You have to put the BBCT.exe in the DEP (Data Execution Prevention) list. You will find this list by right click on 'computer' and then properties. Open advanced system settings. From there, press the settings button for 'performance'. You will find the DEP list in the third tab.

Thanks to another player Shimon

This worked for me as well! I'm running Windows 8.1 with an i7 and 7870M in my Samsung Series 7 Gamer laptop. I was locked in at a choppy 29FPS and it is now a buttery smooth 60FPS. Many thanks!

What if you don't have a Nvidia Control Panel?
Strider Beta Feb 16, 2014 @ 8:12am
I don't know the steps that you would use for an AMD card if that's what you're asking. Google is your friend on that one. I'd also suggest trying Hunter's suggestion in the post right below my original one, it's seemed to help a lot of other people.

I have an AMD Vision Engine Control Panel, but not a Nvidia one. Any idea how that works?
Also, I already tried Hunter's suggestion. Didn't work...

After I've done this, the game did pop up at least.(whereas before i got no feedback after pressing "play")But it's only a white screen, no sound or music though. However, at the same time i get an error message saying "failed to initialize". *sigh* i hope someone can help.

Took me like 2 minutes to find that on Google, really not hard. Scroll down to the appropriate section.

Unfortunately, that one is for AMD Catalyst Control Center, not AMD Vision Engine Control Panel. I tried searching it on google myself but can't seem to find a tutorial for it...

EDIT: My problem isn't that the game doesn't run smoothly, it's that the game won't even launch. Just saying.

I am also getting the 'Failed to Initialize' error. According to Assert.txt, it has to do with the graphics, and I have an Intel card in my Acer AspireOne...

I was wondering why I was having the same problem running it.
Dungeon00X Nov 7, 2023 @ 8:56am
Huh, it's not giving me the option to do that on my PC. I'm using Windows 10 and I'm not sure how to input it.
