There's an ArcSys announcer generator https://orteil.dashnet.org/randomgen/?gen=wMu6qiG3 for the text itself, but pretty sure the ingame assets are prerendered art pieces so the mod part probably wouldn't work.
Yeah, because in a game where an edgy protagonist (with an "evil hand" and red/black color scheme) fights his "younger brother turned evil" and multiple characters that look like young girls (Nu, Rachel, to a degree Carl, with more characters like that in sequels) and a main story focusing on time travel loops, the "wheel of fate is turning" is the most cringiest thing that team came up with.
YOU are the problem. Go back to playing NRS games if you can't stomach that someone might like the chuuni aesthetics.
Plus the red coat is not even his to begin with...
Personality-wise Ragna isn't edgy at all, I agree (I love how similar in his grumpiness and monologues he is to Kyon and Yuichi from Haruhi Suzumiya and Kanon respectively - same japanese VA after all).
However, we have a dude with white hair, dressed in red and black, some kind of demonic flame arm (lore doesn't matter) and his attacks "drain life of his enemies". That's edgy as hell, or for those more cultured: chuuni.
Oh, and calling everything you dislike "cringe" (that's to OP, not you, Derasght) is itself cringe. There is fiction far more clumsily written, I'd say BB is at worst just mediocre.
OP can just mute the audio
also, calling something it's japanese name doesn't make you more "cultured", go outside redditor
Calling something it's original local name can be important if the translation is just approximation. For example, check Homer Simpson's explanation on difference between jealousy and envy - in my native language there is no separate words for these two, slightly different feelings so it can be a pain in the ass to explain it when you really need the distinction.
Calling something "edgy" doesn't mean exactly the same thing that aa chuunibyuou or chuuni aesthethics. The difference may not matter in most cases but sometimes it does and we should all strive to use the most precise language we can everytime we speak. There'd be a lot less misunderstandings that way.
