The Game Won't Recognize My Controller
Hello, I bought the game from the "Anime Sales" and installed it. OK, I launched it. The controller wasn't working, but I tought it isn't binded properly. But, when I got to the menu and went to "Pad" settings, my controller, simply, wasn't active. I tried contacting the publishers, but whenever I tried to send my message through their website some message in Japanese would show up. I can try sending an e-mail, but I already did that with Netherrealm for the Injustice lag and they told me to send them a message through the support or contacts page of their webside. My controller is Trust GXT24. Should I buy a new controller or what?

sorry for bad english

I've never heard of this controller brand before... If it's not an XInput controller, it's normal it won't work. If it is though, then there's a problem indeed, and you might want to reinstall the controller's drivers. In any case, you can still try to use X360CE or Steam's integrated controller support (through Big Picture). Hope this helps.

Sorry for the dumb questions, but what is a Xinput controller? An Xbox controller? And what "In any case, you can still try to use X360CE or Steam's integrated controller support " means? Sorry, but I am not very experienced in this stuff.

It doesn't matter. It doesn't support my controller. Refund... to get Morrowind
In control panel, go to gamepad and mice, checkmark prefered device next to the gamepad.

Sorry for the late reply... An XInput controller is your standard Xbox 360 controller, and a DirectInput one is like old controllers. X360CE stands for "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator", and is useful to use DirectInput controllers with XInput games which wouldn't recognize them otherwise. Finally, Steam's integrated controller support is... Well, pretty much everything is in the name. It does almost the same, but is integrated to Steam.

What? I didn't know Steam had that option. Thanks, but... I already uninstalled it, because my controller wasn't working.

That's because generic controllers like yours are generally Dinput, and this game supports Xinput only. To make it work all you had to do was download www.x360xe.com and copy the file to the game directory and run it once, then you could have used any controller. It's too late now though, since you returned it.

The guide for this has been up for over 3 years.
