Really enjoyable game, that is both challenging but can be completed by anyone. The game has really good physics, simulating derain deformation with mud, as well as tire pressure and winching.
Really enjoyable game to fall back on and relax when there is nothing else to play.
However the multiplayer is buggy and often dead.

i objectively love this game. it was and imho still is ground breaking (quite literally). does it have the biggest community? no. is it the most bug free game? no. but you know what it does have? heart and soul. the community may be small these days because most of the community has moved onto mudrunner or snowrunner, but the community thats left is pretty passionate about Oovee and the game.

i genuinely feel spintires is one of the last few reminants of old school gaming culture. where devs were passionate about their game more than profits. spintires is and always has been imho cheap for what it is and the dlcs have been too.

after sabre tried to take it down (and successfgully did for months) seemly only because Oovee was still supporting and deving for thier game and actually listened to their community (something sabre have never done and probably never will) and added one of the most requested features of the entire franchise (adjustable tire inflation) with the sherp dlc ("coincidentally" not long before sabre got the game taken down), all i can do is recommend spintires. yes what people say is true, the games got some bugs and its alot easier to get stuck than it used to be, the modding community has almost entirely moved on to snowrunner, but what you do get is a passion project. a labour of love. arguably one of the best offroading games in history, by a dev team who seems to care and access to all the mods still around for the game.

yes mudrunner and snowrunner are flashier and come with more basegame vehicles but if you want the og spintires experience, with some amazing basegame and dlc maps, with a loving community whos been trying to support oovee where possible in the last few months, get the game. even if you just get it to try, or to complete the set, or whatever. just get it and support this dev team that started one of the best driving franchises around.

I've had this game for years. It will run on a potato... fr. When I first got my first computer it was one of them ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptops from bestbuy. I ran it at 30fps on low setting and I had a blast! To this day I love this game, it was my introduction to pc gaming!

i'll recommend to but the fact that it is known for its physics which is why people like it but it is the reason i dont like it because they're so crap i cant even pick up a log realistically and why am i getting stuck in solid ground that gets turned into mud for some reason, wtf

At first i was confused and didn't really understand how to play this game. After a couple days of of messing around with it I started having fun getting stuck and unstuck. Well worth the two dollars I paid for it. It detected my Logitech Momo steering wheel for driving but I still have to use the keyboard and mouse for all the advanced functions. A nice change of pace from other games.

Not bad

Now that the dust has settled on the drama with one of the lead developers leaving to make a clone with a different studio and publisher we can finally give this game a fair shake. For a while it lacked further development during that time but the original studio has been great about providing free DLC as well as fairly priced newer DLC content. When compared to Mudrunner, the clone made by the lead dev that left to another studio, I prefer Spintires. Mudrunner was a cash grab to try to cash in on the success of Spintires, it was a literal clone with almost nothing new or unique.

Spintires may be basic in mechanics but it's extremely addictive and the workshop offers loads of extra content. It can only get better and I believe it will. It is a great looking game that even runs well on my ultralight laptop when I'm travelling. If you have any interest in off-roading, trucks, simulators, or tackling logistical challenges this game is for you.

I didnt know one can enjoy being stuck so much.
