How to play in multiplayer?!?!?!?

Please Help me!!!!!
I have downloaded this game by steam but (in game) when i want to play online and i go tu the section "multiplayer" the game say me that i don't have the file to play online and the multiplayer mode is disabled.
what do i do to play online?
Please help me. i'm in italy

Do you get the message: "Game files differ from the original"?
Then you have to delete the folder \spintires\media manually and MP should work!

So is this a big issue, connecting to multiplayer? I actually came here to do a bit of research for this game's multiplayer specifically. It's really my only interest, and looking for some new co-op buddies to tool around with in the mud.

Is the Multiplayer commonly "broken" or difficult to get running with people?
What are the modes of connection? Must they be dedicated servers? Direct IP? Hamachi?
Or can youpotentially just connect with a friend and play together on a private game?
