The G27 works perfectly. The clutch control is implemented well; you can use clutch control to aid traction.

I can see you've mastered this game, or near enough. Please give me a few tips: Firstly: choosing the wisest route when using the 'vague' map as your guide(and when your in a cloaked area). Secondly: What overall tactic is reasonably accessible for mainly single player across a given level(do you uncloak first; do you drive/control two vehicles in close proximity, so there's always a rescue option near by etc.). What other tips do you suggest for continuous play(avoiding game ending situations). Many thanks in advance.

Thx Doyefeellucky . When 1st trying this game i just went around and unlocked cloaks , then when map was fully opened i took a screen shot of the map so i always had a reference that i could alt tab to ( helps for getting achievements ) this way i didnt need to un cloak . I also towed a second vehicle to help get me unstuck if needed . I always like to unlock the garages so you can get fuel / repairs or change truck setup . one good tip is to keep close to trees that you can winch to if you can. other then that i found the more you play and explore the more you get to know the maps by heart . ( you can find map pics on google ) hope this helps :)

Drive carefully and stay close to trees (winch!) is my first advice. Coast is the easiest level to start with. If you're scared, play on casual, you can always teleport your trucks back to the garage in that mode. Uncloak, unlock, deliver. (Unlocking other garages is important on most maps.) Stay away from trailers at first. (A "carriage" takes logs.) Go around the trees, not through them, if you can. Play multiplayer with an experienced friend who can help you out. Don't be reckless.

Do the exact opposite of what I just told you if you're better at the game and want a challenge.

I think controlling two vehicles at once makes maneuvering hard and slows down progress; if you want to learn, you can winch one truck to another in a "tow" line, and from the front truck, set the steering of the hind truck (has to be in auto or 1st gear) to auto and the winch to "accel" (click on "pull"); the winch key F will then accelerate the hind truck, so you can drive both. However, this cripples your manouvering abilities, so it is really only recommended when you already know the route you're taking, which is not what you want.
Just go out in one truck, and send another if that gets stuck, and accept defeat when all of them are. ;-)

You can reload your own logs with a crane if you lost them and you know how, even onto another truck, which saves you the effort of making the trip a second time.

Learn to use the gear stick: gear 1 and 1+ work much better than Auto. Use diff lock and all wheel drive. Learn to use the camera.

How do you get the G27 working for you? For me it doesn't let me rebind controls or anything with it, which sucks seeing as this is a PC only game.

t500rs , ffb works , can not use a shifter , becose the t500rs is selected as wheel , or maybe ill find a solution .

You have to enabled the option to turn the clutch on.

ok , but then do i select the t500rs or the th8rs? i do not own it yet the th8rs , but maybe ill buy it if i know it works on here , the th8rs is with All games compatible with multi-USB feature , as far i see in the update , i can select only one joystick my t500 rs or my joystick or my throttlequadrant. anyone with th8rs here?

found an old microsoft sidewinder force feedback wheel ( no clutch ) and it works

had such one too for years long , thats a good wheel , only 260 degrees but its a winner , i won a ton of races with the microsoft ffb wheel , now with t500rs different story.

Only allows you to select one usb interface, sadly doesnt support the use of the T500 + TH8A
Quite sad really, would have made the game much more enjoyable. hopefully they fix this.

i have the same proplem t500 rs & th8rs . also cant control "Accelerate-Brake" i think need new update to fix this :(

Same problem here, there's no way to use TH8RS, or any other add-on shifter for that matter, unless it's recognised as the same device as wheel and pedals. Boy I wish they fix it soon :).
