Winch should work when Truck has tipped over!
As the title says i believe that the winch should still work when you roll a truck. it will be alot easier to recover yourself with the winch then getting another truck to come or rescue to the garage!

Why? Its a Winch that rellys on POWER Take off, Grosly over simplified means, a shaft from ether the trans or most likley the transfercase connects to a chain which connects to the winch, engines dont run when upside down. No engine means no power take off which means no winch. Sorry buddy not working winch is here to stay

99% of winches are battery opperated, so it should run when the engine is off, that said there heavy duty motors so wouldnt take long to drain the battery, but even so it should still work

Yes but No, these are russian 6x6 MILLITARY trucks. They all use Power Take Off winches. Most winches now days are sadly battery opperated.

As I wrote in another thread:
I would appreciate if there were spots for winching at the side of the vehicles. Not an actual winch but something I can connect another truck's winch to. That way it would be way easier to get tipped over trucks back on their tires :P

Ural 375d, winch powered by engine, use maximum 40% of enginepower; lenght of robe is 65 m, pulling force around 70 kN (7 tons)

Im only curious, ural 375d have the winch only in the rear, so why i tow myself with a front-rope?
