How to install Mods [Guide]

Here is a quick and to the point guide on how to install mods on the full release of Spintires. Please make sure you make a backup file of the media.exe folder so you don't have to reinstall the game if you want to play online or get achievements.

* Install mods from oovee's website http://www.oovee.co.uk/forum/files/
* Extract files from download and have them open.
* Open your steam folder go to steamapps>common>Spintires and open the media.exe (Don't extract just open
* Make a copy of that .exe for safe-keeping incase you want to revert back to original
* Drag and drop all the mods in the correct folders
* Open game and have fun!

I don't believe trucks are implemented yet in terms of modding and I'm sure it would just overlap another trust or you can place it.

Hpw can i determine which mod is usable in Multiplayer online?

Had to watch it threw youtube as steams update screwed up flassh, but a great video.

I can't register at the offical site as new registration is disabled. Does anyone else have this issue?

none of those folders show up on my list :( the only folders i have are .., strings and video

i put the mods in correctly. but it still wont work.

I down load map pack from this site and it comes up in winrar and so I extract it to a folder I made and drag and drop stg and dds in the zip media folder and I start game up and choose the modded map and I hit play and an error box comes up and says "ok"and I hit that and nothing happens, any advice on what I need to do? Do I need to clear cache?

First, DON'T use your media.zip for mods! There are your vanilla gamefiles and overwriting something essential can ♥♥♥♥ up your game. Use your media FOLDER instead.
Second, you have the wrong map version for your game. Either you play latest stable and your map is for Legacy or vice versa.....

It's media.zip, not media.exe... dumdum
