Recovering a load

When I flipped my truck, a text appeared that said something like: You lost the load. or Load lost or something that sounds just as final.
I got the truck back on its wheels and saw three logs on the side there. After some careful use of the crane I got them on board of the trailer and pressed on.
This however did not quite cut it. The logs kinda drifted and fell of when I accelerated up a hill. I gave it another go as I couldn't believe the crane would be just a decoration.
When I got the logs positioned just right and the little spots on the logs turned green. I hovered over one of the spots and it had a picture of a mouse with the left button painted red. Click it and abrakamaz the load appeared.
I read the manual and don't recall reading about anything like this, so I hope someone finds it helpful and spreads the word to others feeling frustrated.

lol. I wish you had posted this an hour ago. I tried recovering a lost load. I managed to get the 3 logs onto the trailer, but didn't get the dots all green, so it told me I still needed 1 more log, so I set off without actually recovering my load. I did, however, manage to get those logs back to the objective by just them balancing on the truck & log trailer.

yeah it can be a pain positioning both the trailer and the logs. Especially with digital onoff keyboard controls for the crane and both truck and trailer deep in the mud. But man is it fun. I'm now one small logs load away from finishing the plains map.:)

two days!!.. it took me two RW days (on & off, of course) to get my truck back on its wheels, and load it again, and it was such a great fun! but I wish I could connect a winch to the side of the trailer, so I could flip it back if needed.

yeah, this game for sure needs trailer winch points along the sides and the ability to hook up more than one winch at a time.

I've noticed the crane is very useful when trying to get a truck or trailer back on its wheels. Useful both as a crutch and as a kind of motorized lever. You just have to be persistent in the latter and keep nudging while also using the winch.

I tried the crane, but it wasn't strong enough. at the end I just picked the largest truck and ram into the poor trailer until it flipped back up..

Yeah the collision physics and the crane are not really predictable and it wont work for every occasion, but I did get that blue RWD drive truck back on its tires when it was laying on its side with the load "lost". I couldn't do it in just a single motion, but instead continued to hit the upper half of the carriage slightly altering the spot on every hit. It took maybe ten hits and the last one I could see the truck rolling just a bit so I kept the "A"-key pushed down and it worked. It works better if the crane is fitted on the truck that is about to roll, but is still on its side with its engine able to start or keep runing.

i have been pulling a truck beside the trailer when it gets upset and is about to roll... seems to work well. Another thing that works is to use the crane arm as a ballast or in extreme cases (as others said) a crutch or prop

pls help me...i fell a bit and flipped my truck and lost load.... but the logs are nowhere to find. Its simply not there. It happened twice on that map which is called "Open Pit Mine" (mod map). Can it be a problem of the map mod? It happened twice - once with long logs and once with short. I cant see even one log anywhere. Is it still supposed to work in spintires ver. 03-03-2016?
btw: i tried to drop load and it desappeared completly too :D this sucks....

i saw that once again... well twice.. but it spawned only one long log instead of two of them, so i cannot load it anyway.

yeah i always lost some of the logs that spill out of the truck. it's not map related.

actually maybe it is... coz i strangely found a log on the road where ive never been before. So i came with crane and its a real log, that can be loaded up. Maybe there is a limited number of logs, that can be spawned. If there is some log on the map already, it can cause problems. =My theory.
