Oh god! how do I load the logs on the stinking truck!
This game is fun. I like it but if someone can't provide me with an adequate explanation of how I load one of my damned trucks I will be asking for a refund. I am on the Volcano map. I have taken a truck to the log farm thingy near the petrol bowsers. I have swapped to the claw grabby truck and have successfully managed to destroy the truck attempting to load / grab logs with it. Is there some secret to over come the c****y inadequate controls? Is there a "load the damned truck for me" option?
I like the driving element of this. I like the delivery objective etc but I LOATHE the stupid "piss around in a 2D environement attempting to load sticks on a truck" element. The controls honestly make it next to impossible.
Thanks in advance for any assist.

Do you have a gaming controller?
Xbox type?
There's a section in the Menu/setting/ called Controls, open it. There you should find three types of key emmulators/keyboard/xbox/USB.
Get it?
If you have a program that pre-sets keystrokes like Xpadder, this is a heckova lot simpler, OK?
Now,
To make the Logs stick on the Log Truck after about the 4th Log Loaded by Crane, change truck to the Log truck with the Logs Load, then Hover the mouse over the Logs looking for "Red Dots" click on the red dots to make em turn green, this should turn the red to green, locking logs onto truck like a wire wrapper in real life does. Your truck is now loaded, go Unload it!!!
OK?

For more good info, look at your game manual on the OOVEE.UK websight. This link can be also found on your spintires sales page to
that should do it right?

I would strongly suggest if you want to play this game, to buy an xbox type game controller too? There's usually some cheap ones for sale at your local "Pawn Shop?" Don't pay the sticker price either! Ever! Haggle a bit allways! , If its Second Hand!!!:steamfacepalm:
P.S. The xbox controller Sticks kinda operate like a 'Real Loader' [Sorta?] at least as close as you can get without being some sorta Heavy Equip/Trucker (retired) that knows how they should work?

There is an option that automatically loads these trucks, but you have to be playing casual mode, but like in Hardcore, your truck has to be perfectly lined up from back to front with the direction it is facing, just off by a few degrees and the game will throw a hissyfit (yes, even the carriage trailer that the B-131 uses falls into this as well).

I don't have much of an issue, but I did have trouble at first understanding for a bit. Basically once you get used to the Once you get the hang of it, it's actually really easy, but I can tell you, something as simple as parking in the wrong place will certainly make it hard to reach and/or place logs onto the trucks.

If you use what is normally the "Roof" cam while operating the crane, it sorta puts it into what could feel as close to a cab view as they can get now for using the crane, which is great.

Also, remember that each log class has different requirements before you can click the green arrows when you get in the advanced menu. IIRC, For short logs, you need 4 logs loaded, medium, 3, and for long logs two. Once those are loaded, press "V" and click on the green dots on the logs. If sucessful, the vehicle will be loaded, if not, you may need to readjust either the vehicles positioning or the logs' loading to make sure that it'll allow the logs to be loaded.

Go to the guides section of the community hub and look up the excellent crane operation guide. Or, alternatively, you might try loading logs from the lumber location instead of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with cranes.

Have you tried to "Winch" the Trailer into place yet? That usually works when loading logs that are having a Hissyfit to load too?:steamhappy:

yep! good one, but I still like to "Winch" the Trailer into Loading spot while watching it line up from front to back cam pos. . In this way you can easily see the Arrows lining up too!!!!

Yep, good call. It's what I do as well. Works beautifully for extending the folded up long log trailer.
