how do i turn off the parking brake?

Make sure you're not in the advanced menu either, else it doesn't work out.

So basically the troubleshooting process should work like this:
-Press Spacebar, if Park Brake = Off, then you're good.
--If not check to make sure you're not in the advanced menu by pressing "V", and trying the first step again. If it still doesn't work then, then I don't know what to tell you.

got it working, had to restart my entire computer, space is working now (it wasnt working before)

to be clear, space was working, everywhere but the game. im not sure why it wasnt working ingame but at least it sorted itsself out, it was probably a mapping issue
