That's the most cryptic answer today.
So you've not had any problems with any games, yet you say that 99.9% of the time it's the (spintires) games fault, not the OS fault.....???????
Yet i've not had ONE issue with this game in 30HRS!!!!! So... it's got nothing to do with the game then, but rather a small issue with hardware and or driver and even a different OS. Since the PC permutations amount to millions worldwide.
Don't you just hate people that act as a 'spokesman' for the whole of the world......If it doesn't work on mine, or a friends, then it musn't work on everyone elses PC... Please don't.
Well Zoo, I got over 500 hours playing the game which is a lot more than 30 hours that you have. Over the course of 1+ years that I have had the game it has had many updates that broke the game ranging from crashing, not working on even numbered days or odd I cant remember which it was that happened after new years, multiplayer not working and etc. What my cryptic answer is saying is that this game has a past history of updates breaking other parts of the game. Go read the official game website forums to learn more.
Oovee has been working harder at fixing bugs and exstensive testing before releasing stuff but it is still not perfect. A good example of that is the recent release of the truck mod editor. When it first came out it had problems with the blender. I dont know if its fixed yet as I dont use it but I am current on whats going on in the game because I am an active member of the official game web forums and I read a lot about whats going on.
Zoo, when you are a "newbee" to the game you should not talk about hate like in your last line when you dont know what you are talking about. I've played the game on win 7,8,8.1 and 10 and if their is a problem its game related not windows related. The solution might be as simple as clearing the game cahce or as difficult as waiting for a patch to fix things but bottom line is In my expert experience here its game related not windows. Win 10 runs the best.
I don't need you to try and justify yourself. My statement; regardless of hours -i'm on the 4th map out of the 5 and it plays perectly for me. Zero issues -just like the other posters have said.
You said what you said and that's fact. I have a different opinion as it works without a hitch. Playing hundreds of hours on the same maps doesn't make it 'break' if it's not got a problem on my machine. I've got hundreds of thousands of hrs on games int-total, without a problem. I'm talking 202 games in steam alone and hundreds outwith -i have 5TB of HDD space dedicated to gaming. (in over 20+ years of gaming and building my own PCs)
Therefore i don't need to join forums for problems and don't need to come and post, other than try and help or post requests for ideas etc. If i'm stuck i will search and post. But what i'm saying -back to the original post you put, is that you just can't go about posting posts inc everyone saying that they have problems with this game, when they don't!
Retract it, rather than blunder through it. Explain 'you' have an issue, but i aint going to not reply to someone effectively saying 'my game doesn't work' when it doesn't!
If you are playing the current game version their are 6 base maps not 5. coast, the hill, volcano, river, plains and flood. You probably dont know that their was also one more that was for a very short time part of the game but removed. If you want to learn about it or are interested you can do the research yourself as you stated that you know how to do that. So are you on the 4th map or 5th map of 6 maps? I can think of one reason why you only have 5 maps but I will keep that to myself unless of course you did not count correctly. Only you know that answer.
On a different note, I have already build my own gaming rig and I found it very enjoyable and satsifying and hopefully it will be the same for you.

Zoo, do you even know the story of this game ??? it was once very close to be a dead game as the dev and the team had huge issue ... i mean HUGE... HUGE as they were going trhough lawyer to speak to each other ! the guy (the dev) is alone ... he is the one single men creating every code for the machine as the rest of the team works on something else ! we all know that one man with that ammount of pression isnt going to be perfect !!! the OP posted a question in wait of an honest answer ! and it is honest ! good for you you still new to the game and you ghave nothing to complain... hell ive even played the tech demo !!! we are fans of this game.... weve been here supporting this game all along, feeding there kick starter !!! DID YOU GAVE A PENY Zoo ??? you did know this game has once needed the help of kickstarter ??? so if an honest answer is given, and you are not here since the beginning, lets just not Ram him ok !!! you can simply answer, from the 50 hours of playing i didnt had a single bug, and also add that since you bought it, everything is fine :P that will be an honest answer.... but the answer Barley did gives is WAY more accurate since i know him from past that origins sortly after the game lauch.... of course you have your opinion, but dont ♥♥♥♥ on people you dont know their stories men ....
Also Zoo, please use your mind ! do you think we are playing 50 hours of the same map !!! once upun a time they were MANY MANY stable map mods that got bugged after updates... we were force to come back to stock map... and even stock map was full of syncing bugs and ♥♥♥♥ related to the dev as they apologized on their forums ! they knew they were the one to blame as they knew were the bug was... they started to corect it, and an hotfix was release shortly after, and next thing you know, map are correct, and mods are back in business. ... oh and the game crashing on launch.... a few updates past pn a complete fresh clean install without mods .... 95 % of players had that issue !!! we were in need of starting the game like 5 times for it to finnally launch until we found a workaround since no updates or no news was heard from the devs (the lawyers fights were harsh during that time)
So, use you judgement on a game you dont know its past and just answer that you have no problem on your part !
I dont have any problem myself since the last update, appart from the fact that thety claimed they had fix the surroud shadow glitch and guess what : its NOT fixed !!! as many people with surround still complains on their website !!!
Windows 10 wont cause bugs ! and im with you Barley, its not win 10 or 7 or 8 or wtv that will cause this game to crash !!!
TO THE OP : ive played with win 7, win 8.1 and win 10, and problems wont come from your windows version, dont worry, you can have Win 10 without isssues. If issues start to pop up, itl be on the Oovee side (the game devs) since now its a stable run, and its super stable with win 10 ;) so dont worry and go ahead with your upgrade :) then it goes to personal taste, but i think win 10 is awesome apart the fact that windows blind for win 10 isnt out yet so i gotta keeep that horrible default skin :)
You can search dark skin on win 10 to have a kind of workaround to counter that horrible all white OS ! all you need to do is add a line in the registry that say that you wanna use a dark skin already integrated win win 10 nut just not activated by default. i think win10 wanna do its own theme engine but isnt erady yet ;)

I have not seen any system-related issues.
The bugs I do see appear to all be game-related, these are (in descending critical order)
One time I had severe performance issues, turned out to be a zombie process eating up one of my cores, and also AVG deciding then was a good time to a system scan.
..... But after adjusting and updating , everything worked with the new Windows . A tip 4you from me : Every second Windows is good .....
...... but since it is the last window , it's a little stupid / illogical , since only come updats out .
So you 're a computer with hol Windows 10 sodas you up to date .Many things are only speciel manufactured or programmed for the 10
I hear ya Irule10 about mods but remember its a work shop so the mods themselves along with the truck editor is under development.
The specific problem I have had with mods is when I try to play a coop modded truck game and I need to download a truck mod because I dont have it yet and by the time the download is finished the game is gone because either the people rag quit or something went wrong that is game related not windows 10 related.
I have not had problems with the modded trucks in single player except for attachments might not work but I feel that some of the mods out their are still being fine tuned and have little problems that are being worked on along with little issues with the truck editor are being discovered and fixed.
And yes some trucks has tiny adjustment with version number mismatching outside of yhe game from in game and in single player they will work as intended but in mutliplayer it will say that your mod version mismatch and cant connect. As you just have to not take this car by method of elimination of which one you pick that is broken in multiplayer outta 2/3 the host choosed prior to launch !
Until the modder solve this lil bug himself then you can't play online with this particular truck ;)
Your correct, I do have 6. I think I mentally removed the proving grounds from the total map list. I'm currently at The Flood level, with one left.
Your clearly well versed in the game and up to speed. Don't you think some problems may arise from playing online with mods? Playing with other players with bad mods and even corrupt files must surely cause games to crash?
I've known guys with custom rigs with nothing but issues with certain games, most notably AMD gpu's and certain chipset issues. Three years back I bought a 7850 and it was an absolute joke! I exchanged two through Amazon,thinking it was a duff card and/or manufacturer. It turned out there was a complete chipset bios/driver needed to work with several top games inc Shogun 2. The forum stretched to 121 pages
