The best 2 vehicles are the 537 and if you need something more manouverable i take the 255.
It seems to me that the 255 has more power over the 4320 and can take more damage, even if the hitpoints are the same.
well, since I got the C-255 stuck, and did also manage to roll the D-537 twice, I think I might have found where the problem is
so, do you normally just use the lumber depot to load the C-255, or use the cranes on one of the other trucks to do it manually ?
Love to load it myself, can't wait to have a mode in which you have to load every Load by yourself :D, if logs wouldn't disappear once you took them, or if they respawned, i would load manually every load... it's so much fun!
what about a forestry truck, that has one of those harvester saws on a crane arm? Make your own logs !
also a way to do it but im not sure how hard it will be to make it work, i'm not a modder or programer myself but i do believe it would be certainly easier to make logs respawn instead of creating a whole new game system :O!
Just know where to drive and you will hardly ever get stuck.
It also gets Highway Wheels, which give some useful bonuses when pulling a trailer.
I never ever got stuck with the Ural 4320, no matter what trailer or what terrain, it simply fights through, on the other hand the C-255 gets stuck in heavy mud and needs extensive whinching and towing.
i played a lot in single player mode and often built a convoy with a C-4320 with its standard offroad tires in front and the C-255 on offroad tires in the back. Due to the fact, that the computer controlled backward vehilce won't engage the diff-locks, it get's stuck fairly easily and there shows the difference between both vehicles.
Hills and ramps, that the Ural 4320 climbed with engaged diff-locks without a problem are insuperable obstacles for the KRAZ 255. You switch controll to the backward KRAZ and even with now engaged diff-locks, you can't climb certain hills and ramps the Ural proved he can climb without any problem. In one case i even had to leave it behind and get the MAZ 535 for recovery.
I don't care about power, bigger fuel tank or pretty useless highway tires of the Kraz, as it doesn't help me getting the job done the Ural get's done without any problems.
The Ural is my work horse for every main task. If i need support vehicles, i simply tow the with the Ural to the needed destination, because i know beforehand, that the support vehicles WILL always get stuck at some point of the journey.
