Why is no more Spintires on Steam and why the developers didn't make any game updates and didn't posted anything on there Facebook page since 2020, even thou they sad that they have a NEW CONTENT for the year 2021 that they CAN'T WAIT TO SHARE WITH US. Did Spintires got some how canceled? Please tell me, I really wanna know what is going on with Spintires!

Oovee (zane) is being sued for IP infringement. He was clearly told to remove the K-700 from The Flood and ignored other legal servings on him, So the game was served notice and removed from sale on Steam. Pavel is at the base of this as it was his 'baby' and whether oovee had licensed content is obviously at fault. The mere fact the judge sided with Saber rather than Oovee speaks volume. It's been over a year now and Oovee has gone elsewhere with another guy selling PC software -not games- and only online.

The legal stuff is online for all to see. But the point of this is Saber is still selling MR and SR and it's Oovee that's in the wrong as their 'IP' is removed.

just search online there's enough out there. Here you'll just get biased ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I don't care about fan bhoys just playing a game that should have been run by a competent publisher which has punished it's customers by being incompetent. That's the sad fact of this crap saga.

Would you stop spreading this constant BS, Brian the Snail (your previous name). You talk about biased BS, yet you're the only here spreading it. Other posters have confronted you as well about ST still being available for purchase, yet you ignore that and re-appear elsewhere. What's your agenda? BTW, the K-700 had nothing to do with this, Zane said so himself. Stop inventing your own story.

There's plenty of threads on this topic on this very forum. Can't you people just look around the forum first before asking the same question over and over?

In conclusion, do we have any hope of ST still getting future updates and new content or it's dead forever and we should all play another off-road simulator like SR and forget about ST?

I don't think you should expect anything more for ST, but hopefully the community isn't dead enough to still have conpetent modders to still make maps and vehicles.

At least we have new mods. BTW is SR a good replacement for ST cause from what I've seen it is too expensive for what it is in my opinion and the fact that all russian vehicles from SR are all fake pisses me off.

SR is a poor substitute for ST if you care about sounds, physics, controls and overall functionality. It's OK if you want large maps, pretty graphics and arcadish physics.

Mudrunner would be much better than SR. It somewhat retains from ST the gameplay.

MR was my first game in this series and my go-to offroader game when ST was broken, which happened from time to time as it was developed. They're both very good games in their own way and similar to each other, unlike SR. I wish we could combine the best of MR with ST. Overall I like the mud and physics in ST better, but MR does log loading better, has Steam Workshop map support, plus it has all that US content (maps, truck) which was nice as well.

It's funny how two dead games (MR and ST) are better than an on going game (SR). I'm sad about ST thou. I mean MR is a finished game it wasn't meant to get any future content after the release of SR, but ST it was meant to get future updates, new vehicles and new maps, even the developers sad that they have a new content for 2021. It was meant have a future. It's like when a car company announces that they have new car prototypes and futuristic car concepts that they can't wait to release and then the company goes bankrupt and those beautiful cars never see the day light ever again : (

Indeed it's unfortunate. ST had high potential and Oovee was serious about making it an offroad simulation, unlike Saber with their SR that's more for the console audience and that's had serious quality issues.

I think your looking through necro glasses at this. If we jump back several years this forum was full of hate and so was the Oovee forum. The amount of disgruntled people that owned ST and had not had an update in YEARS and the false promises made by Oovee were spitting nails! Do you ever ask yourself why MR was made or even search? Clearly not.
MR was the result of incompetence, that then resulted in SR and a game that has surpassed the sales of ST at least 5x over. Now i don't care if you/me don't like or love SR, games are nothing but business to make profit. If you have a crap company CEO, then the business will fail. On the otherhand if you jump on an opportunity and throw out a 'what do you guys want in a game like MR, that ST doesn't have' Then deliver it. Nobody cares about the past.
I would sure as hell be glad to be pavel now as his career was saved and paid the money he was ultimately due and deserved.
Remind me where Oovee is after a year, and why they are not making a ST2/3. Because of stupidity and a narcissistic attitude 'It wont happen to me'
Well it did.
Pavel MADE ST and MR, not oovee. Your local chemist could have funded Pavel and we would be sitting on ST2/3. It's all about MONEY and business acumen. Which Oovee lack. Have a look at their resume and what pavel said about working with Oovee. It's all on the net and freely available to see.
It doesn't make good reading either -inc unfair dismissal cases from employees

Yeap, if Ovee was still active today, maybe after time ST would even beat SR in terms of gameplay and other stuff. Maybe this is the reason that ST is dead. Saber and Focus saw the potential in it so they did everything possible so that the game dies and is no longer competition.

Saber is a 600-employee company and they have SR on consoles too, which is most likely the main revenue driver. Oovee was a 2-man operation, with a contractor artist or two. If you want to talk about incompetence, look at Saber. They can't even get the terrain collision or engine sounds right despite having such a large team. Oovee was able to accomplish much more with a much smaller team.

It appears that way, doesn't it. The game got taken down soon after the China DLC released as development was really picking up. No doubt Saber saw that as a threat. Anyway, the legal issues haven't been resolved yet. This could take years.
