Volcano map cheats player?

Anyone noticed that when you for example transport short logs with crane and traversing through that bay between log kiosk and objective point? Game lets you go 2 times and 2 times back without a hassle but trying to get 3rd time it sudenly getting worse and makes your truck stuck even if you are trying little other line of passing.
Even moving crane and trying to rock the truck and move it a little bit it still stuck easily on other spot. Smoth or agressive throttle operations seem not to affect the truck at all I used Type C-255 for transporting short logs and attempting achievement "My Only Love"

It somehow makes bottom of that lake to be extra slippery! It is not that I made deeper groves it is at same level but truck wont even move a bit!

Is game cheats on this map by enabling something or is that coincidence?!?!
What you think? Did you had similar experience on this spot? And I mean by using one truck no winching etc.

It's not cheating, it's being realistic. How many times do you think you can chew up the same bit of mud before it becomes impassable? You need to not cross in the same exact tracks every time or this happens.

Bottom of that lake is not typical mud. It is more rocky one and also I did not cross every time in the same spot. But somehow something stopped me. Like some big rocks would spawn at some point.
I manage to get out of that lake by unloading my load using my crane and then with a crane I had to rock my truck many times because even unloaded it refused to move even 10cm! Seriously it was so frustrating especially because I returned 2 times unloaded and truck had no problem getting through.

Why it was super frustrating you may ask? Because normal gameplay would be easy. Just take other truck and winch it out right? OK but I was attempting on achievement which is My only Love that prohibits to use other trucks.
I'm not sure if it is only about transporting logs by one truck and i can use other trucks to winch my other truck and continue driving the one with the load or I am forbiden to use other trucks at all. So I was 4 points up already and I did not want to experiment if I can or not. So I was stuck to my only one truck.

Overall I manage to unstuck myself and go load again and go with other route to get remaining 4 points.
It was challenging OK but I am really curious on what is causing sudenly all tires to act like slicks! I was not drowning what would suggest that I am digging myself deeper like in mud NO I was above water at the same lvl but that something misterious made my truck refusing to move! Iven after some time of fighting with my crane to move my truck 1 meter in other direction and try to go on wheels it refused! That was uber weird. That is why I am certain that there is some weird mechanics that count how many times you passed this lake and then applying some weird less grip mechanics so to force player to do something different like winching by using other truck or just try and find different route.
Anyway it was so damn frustrating to get that achievement on that map :D

I wonder if there is someone brave to see if he can pass that lake 4 times in one direction and 4 times back :) Like I challenge anyone brave enoough! :D

Ive had it happen but like cmon man your crossing a river you cant see under its givin to happen i think its a big ol coincidence because i get stuck there all the time :D bad spot

i am curious as to where this "river" is on volcano. i only see a lake and a couple bay type areas, but no river.

I have never had that happen because I dont really try to get that achievement on that map but im going to try it anyways

The game is not cheating...lol. That is exactly what happens when you drive off road in a vehicle. The terrain changes with each time you drive on it. I have played that map and have ran all types of trucks on it many times. The "lake" you are refering to is a bay for an ocean or a sea. There are 2 8x8 trucks on that map...thats what they are there for. I ahve crossed that many times with 6x6 trucks and have got stuck with more than 2 point log load. I have never got stuck in either the 535 8x8 or 7310 8x8 loaded with 4 points or more log loads. I have even tandomed the 2 8x8's across it together.

Hmm you definately did not read all my posts guys. After first hour even amateur will know how to haul other truck. But it was not my concern and is not what I ment in my posts. I understand that people are lazy and just read opening post then ignore the rest and put their MR. Obvious reply :p I am not mentioning anything but SHORT LOG trip and more than 4 passing through that bay NOT 2 with long or medium just SHORT ones in type C-255 truck.

That was what I did and encountered that weird thing. If you want to test it do as I described in posts not other ways! I also way earlier finished this map by hauling medium logs with hauling other truck with not to big problems at all BUT do as I described and then come back to discuss that weird game behaviour. If you will not test it on your own then you will never understand what I wanted to point out. Maybe other day I will test it other ways because as I tried to get achievement I had no will to risk testing because if not for that achievement I would winch that truck out of water and try again and again to pass it without any other help and see if I had huge bad luck to sudenly on that trip to hit every damn trap spot of that passing or what. But I had no choice, I was 4 ponits up and I did not want to lost my time and attempt that achievement again. I had crane and luclily I manage to get out of that river and load again short logs and go other way around :)

It was not hard but by accident I discovered that weird behaviour of game. It was like sudenly traction is lost on that river passing after 2 loaded and 2 empty trips. I had to get rest of objective points getting through that sand beach. It was not hard at all but what made me mad was that weird sudden traction loss. It was frustrating because it makes you want to quit that map and lost 4 objective points. I wanted to make it by using only small logs because of short trip from log load to objective.
But it seems that because of that short distance there is hidden trigger that counts how many times you passed it.

Way earlier wnen I played this map for the first time I used medium logs on 2 trucks and I hauled one and by using two trucks I manage to finish that without big problems.

It is just interesting what I discovered. But it needs confirmation. If someone likes to check that out then share your thoughts about it and remember do it as I described, 4 trips with short logs only and go back the same route through that river and see if the same thing will happen to you.

First 2 times with load seems easy and 2 times getting back empty is also easy but third time changes drastically and that is just weird and unfair.

See what truck I used and see one point that I got stuck but it was not the only point but even close to the shore I got stuck and truck did not even budge.

If I would have not had crane I would not move even by inch! Thats how bad it became all of a sudden!

4 earlier trips WITHOUT any spot that would make my tires slip for so freaking long! Isnt that weird? 4 times passing that damn river not on the same track just random line from one shore to other and not even once truck stopped and wont move but 5 trip ended up with not once but few times stuck. Anyway if someone is curious if he can manage to pass this river 5 and more times transporting short logs so be my guest. I am curious of your result ;)

I did not know what can I call it :) I called it river but of course it is not a river. I think you are right and it can be called bay :) But by weird force water is flowing to that bay and is acting like a river with current. Weird anomaly :) GET OUT OF HERE STALKER! :p

i have been wanting to test this, but you still have not mentioned exactly where this "river" is on volcano or are you talking about the lake near the starter garage? if so then why do you bring this "river" up couple times now.


EDIT: ok i see where this river is now. i forgot there is a creek or river running down the middel of the map. i always just go north from the garage to the lumber and then east across the bay to the objective. my mistake.

Shortest route from log loading point where fuel near it is and then to objective point :)
It is sort od bay area with weird current like in river going into that bay.

Ok cool that someone want to test it. Remember use only one truck Type C-255 and load only short logs and go back and forth to that log kiosk and load with crane. It is up to you if you want to use crane on the truck that is pared there or put crane on yout truck. What matters is that you try to pass it more than 4 times without any help of other trucks.
But If you will use other truck to help you out just dont haul that truck further instead haul it back where you came from and try to pass this bay again.

I am very curious if you will achieve to pass it more than 4 times back and forth even if you will finish objective then try to still go for logs and drop them off at objective.
If you will manage to pass it 3 times loaded and 3 times unloaded then it would mean that I had some major bad luck and I fall in some kind of small pits in succesion :D

ok, yeah i know exactly where you are taking about now. i use this route everytime i play, only i use the ural C4320 and have never gotten stuck. however you can get stuck in the kraz C255, my reasoning, the kraz is low slung with little ground clearance and there are rocks on the bottom of the crossing. i figure you just have had bad luck getting caught or high centered on the rocks under the water. you can get across with the kraz just need to stay a bit on the south side of that route. just do not get too far to the south side and the more north side you go the deeper the water and more rocks. i hope this makes sense.

point is though it is not the game cheating per-say, but more using the right vehicle is needed. that is the thing i like about the game. each vehicle has its plus and minuses. keeps things balanced. like the kraz is a powerhouse, but it is low slung and high centers easier than the ural, but the ural even with better off road capabilities it also has i higher center of gravity so it is easier to roll if you get too much lean.

I repeat that I had no major or almost any (appart from small 1-2 point damage) problems the first 2 times with short logs and 2 times getting back to log kiosk. 5th attempt was suden difficulty slope like mad. I unloaded logs, throw them away into deeper water and without any extra weight I got stuck then unstuck myself with crane and 1-3 meters away got stuck again and story repeated at least 3-4 times while first 4 crossing was like taking a candy from blind kid!
Why 5th crossing was sudenly so difficult? That is my point the whole time :) I understand whole mechanics of mud and getting through rocks. I played this cool game for long I get it all but this one damn time it just cluster F**** my reasoning about mechanics of this game, It was like sudenly many rocks randomly poped out of the ground under water. To bad that I could not see through water becasue I was curious what held me so many times and made my truck freeze in place in many spots. That is my concern. I will test that on my own. And yes I know that with bigger truck it is like wiping small turd out of your butt to get pass that bay but come on I am talking about sudden change. 4 times COOL 5th time F**** YOU player!

lol and you're still not understanding the beauty of this game why so many people like it so much. If you have even the slightest understanding of off road driving you'll know why you get stuck...its not that difficult to understand. All the things you have pointed out lead to one conclusion and when you understand what that is you'll have answered your own question. good luck with that.

ok, i made the crossing 10times without getting stuck. however it did get slightly worse everytime i would drive across it. i do notice thatin the pic you posted above that is right about where the rocks start. so i have two questions. 1. what gear and how much throttle are you using and 2. what kind of computer are you using? i ask the second question because i have talked to people before and have heard them say that when they play on their "crappy or lesser" pc or laptop. they seem to just drive through things with so much ease, but then when they switch to their gaming pc's it is a whole different deal. they get stuck and struggle way more. idk how or why it is like this if what they are saying is true, but you never know. as for the gear and throttle. i figure you know this, but less throttle will give better traction than more or full throttle.

idk though. i could not get the kraz to get stuck where you are talking about. it did sttruggle the more crossings i made and even got bogged a couple times, but less throttle and a bit of steering it would get moving again, but never got stuck to where i could not move at all.

it is strange indeed.
