spintires plus????? HOW TO! help!

Ive been trying to figure out how to get the spintires plus working after i download it. ill be frank, i have no idea on what im doing. can someone please help me in the most basic of words so that i can get this plus working!

Unpack the files to you Spintires folder ( [STEAM_DIR]\steamapps\common\Spintires\ ).

Read through SpintiresPlus_config.xml in same folder and adjust settings after your liking. Explanation to every option is in green text in same file.

Play.

you can't unpack a zip file?

2 types of files, a regular zip folder or it may be a 7z folder. right click the zip folder and then hit "Extract All" or if it a 7z file then hover over 7z then selcet the extract option. it will extract the files and place them in the same folder the zip file is in. copy/paste the files you extracted into your main Spintires folder. once you do this it is just a matter of opening the ST+ config file and setting it up the way yu want.

Same deal. Download from http://spintires.nl and unpack the file (.zip or .7z) into the Spintires folder ( [STEAM_INSTALL_DIR]\steamapps\common\Spintires\ ).

( EDIT:
My [STEAM_INSTALL_DIR] is E:\Steam\ because games have a seperate drive on my PC.
But usually it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\
This is on a Windows 10 system )

You need to learn about zipped files/folders it seems.
If you don't have someone to show you, you'll have to read about it yourself:

So I have spintires plus downloaded and everything. but the mod that I want to work will not work properly. It says you need spintires plus, but still will not work properly. I got the mod off of the spintires workshop in steam and even downloaded it from the original source. I know that the mod can work because I have seen videos of people using it, could you help please.

That post was for the version of Spintires that existed 2½ years ago (1.3.1 IIRC).
I do not think there even is a Spintires Plus for version 1.7.1

Edit: But if you have found a version for 1.7.1, please let me know :)

ST plus works mostly for the 1.7.1 version, but I believe the creator mentioned some features needed to be off else the game won't start.

I really liked some of the features of Spintires Plus.

Okay, I thought it was localhost (the dev of the mod, and I think a dev of the game now?) who mentioned it, but it looks like a user, Truckwolf who mentioned that v14 could work with 1.7.0, by having to set Spawn locators to false, battery powered winch to false, and the overide cloakmesh to false. There is a post a little further down where the Localhost confirms that AlwaysAllowSpawnLocators and BatteryPoweredWinch are broken in v14 when used with 1.7.0.

Looks like V15 which was made to work with v1.7.0 is out now as of January 10th. Looks like battery powered winch is back up. Hopefully this works well with 1.7.1! Be nice to have a winch that doesn't need the truck to run!
