Naturally a guess, but that is how I interpreted the message. They really should be more clear on their intentions.
Stated in the game's description that it is a "local multiplayer" game.
This is exactly what we wanted. Mario Kart is so much better when you can punch the guy who beat you. Although convenient it's just not the same when you play it online.
We can respect that. It is a party game after all and we've added AI for those moments that you cannot have others in the same room. If you think online is something you need in a game, we wouldn't want you to waste your money.
It is extremely difficult to implement online, especially with a physics based game. We currently do not have the resources to do it. You must remember that we are a small indie company trying to offer something special.
My mistake there isn't actually an option for 'local multiplayer' that i can see, im getting it confused with 'local co-op'. I still hope that the developers make it clearer that it is local multiplayer so as to save any dissapointment.
