[RESOLVED] NO CD KEY Problem in Multiplayer mod

Hi,

I've tried to play in multiplayer but not work because there is problem with "invalid CD KEY".

I've tried to execute steam like administrator (im on win 7) but it doesnt worK.

Now, i dont have the key CD KEY in regedit for Call of Duty 2 so i dont know how can i do.... i've sent message on Steam Support to check it for a solution.

If i have information, i'll let you know guys ^^

I swear this is the dumbest crap. I bought black ops 2 and couldnt stand how crappy that game was so now i try and play this. It's impossible without an actual key.

Hi guys i've contact the support hat gave me CD KEY, now i can connect myself but punkbuster kick me because i need to update it. Problem because on punkbuster the PB for cod 2 doesnt exist anymore ^^ but its another story

Hey,

Installing Call of Duty 2 on Windows 10 has two issues: CD Key is not added to the windows registry during instalation process, and the path to the registry key containing cd-key is different.

Here's the FIX:

1) Install Call of Duty 2 on older system. If you don't have computer with older system, you can always use a virtual machine (in my case it was free Virtual Box + free 30-day Windows 7 64bit, you can find tutorials on youtube) or ask friends.

2) Run regedit.exe (on Windows 7), then go to Edit->Find and search for "codkey".

3) Read your cd-key.

4) Run Call of Duty 2 on your Windows 10, then in Multiplayer Options enter the key.

5) Enjoy playing :)

I found a way around it in windows 10, just create a blank registry with the name "codkey" like it soppose to be and re-install the game, it should work
