Cod 2 Multiplayer not working!
My multiplayer for cod 2 doesnt work but my single player does work. When i try to load multiplayer and error comes up with, "The requested operation requires elevation" 000002e4
I have put steam.dil into the cod 2 steam file so i dont get a black screen that can't be closed.
I am using windows 10. Ive done the exact same thing on my friends computer who is running windows 8 and it has worked on his computer but come to mine and it doesnt want to work!
I've tried multiple poeple's advice but all of them haven't work but have worked for others!!! :(
PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP!!!! GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Did you only transfer the 1 file over? I had to do 2 files.

Also have you verified integrity of game cache.

Not sure what all you have tried. Would help out to list those things.

Its from a post here try this if you running windows 10:Open up your Steam Folder, C:\Steam\
3. Copy Steam.dll and Steam2.dll
4. Open your COD2 folder, C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty 2
5. Paste the copied files into the COD2 folder.
6. Right-click CoD2MP_s.exe, select Properties, select the Compatibility tab and select "Run this program in compatabilty mode for: Windows XP Service Pack 3" Hops it help you!

Are there any other ways to fix cod 2 multiplayer besides the normal way everyone else is doing?

from what i am seeing. the error is related to windows. have you tried to right click on your speaker icon in lower right, then selecting recording devices, then right click background and select to show all, and then enable stereo mix?
