Call of Duty 2

Why is this game still so expensive???
I never bought it since it was expensive but I thought after 10 years the price had to drop to a 1$ or 2$ which is exactly how much money I got on steam but noo freaking COD2 costs freaking 19$. -_-
Oh well,I will just have to play on cracked servers then.
What brought me back to play it again?Nostalgia mostly.
I used to play every day 6-7 years ago.

What are your thoughts?
It costs almost half the amount of today AAA games yet it's a game with outdated graphics and about 10 years old game.
As far as I am concerned COD2 worked just cuz of multiplayer which is what I am going to do when I get it again.

Honestly some games hold their value better than others and are worth the price even for an old game. It's abit late now but if you want it that badly wait until the Sale's (Currently Steam summer sale) and buy it then even at around $10 the older CoD's are worth it up until MW2 with maybe black ops 1 as an except after that.

The publisher Activision. They do this on all platforms. Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox Live is still $30, Black Ops 2 on Steam is $60, MW3 is $40.

Nah, the game is too old. Regardless of it's content, replay value, etc, that's a rip. Could get this game for $5 used.

Cracked servers are the reason this once great game is nearly dead.

Let's face the truth.
Most people that play this type of games play them for multiplayer.

Not really because it's so outdated with graphics and basicly games after a while should lose their value.

While I would say it's a still a great game and it'd be good to support the developer... That's obviously not a thought anymore. I think I got it on a whim during an Activision sale for $10-15. It shouldn't be $20. Hell, even the very first Call of Duty shouldn't be $20. But it's Activision, so, you know.. What are you gonna do. Still worth it compared to paying even more for any other recent Duty game.

Well, the reason why I wanted to buy the game in the first place was as I said before to repay the developer for creating such a great game which I used to play a lot about 10 years ago for free.
However, seeing how the games are usually worth less than it's being asked and the game is actually so old that price is just insane.
Not to mention that probably now not that many people even play the game.
If I were the developer I would give the game for free.
