Game crashes when setting resolution to 2560 x 1440
I just recently got a QHD monitor with 1440p display, and I have to change the settings for all my games because they were set up at 1080p. However, this specific game crashes after I apply the settings in the options menu, and when I reopen it, it's back at 1080p. How can I fix this issue?

The same thing has happened to me at 2560 x 1600, and what I did is edit the file where the settings are saved.

Go to intall directory and find the files config.cfg and config_mp.cfg open them with notepad and you will find the line to change the screen resolution (the files are created when you try to change game settings for the first time.)

Ultra, go into your Call of Duty 2 directory, open "main/players/[name]/config.cfg", edit "seta r_mode "[number]x[number]". Example; "seta r_mode "2560x1440".

Or, you can download the Call of Duty 2 Remastered mod on Nexusmods. Updates the game graphically, and you change the resolution in-game.

Everything is up to you, ma dude.

(Oh, and if you have problems opening multiplayer, do keep in mind the "black screen glitch" is just the game loading. Sometimes it can take up to 2 minutes to load.)

Changing "seta r_mode "[number]x[number]" worked great, thank you!
