[RESOLVED] - COD 2 MULTIPLAYER SERVERS NOT SHOWING UP IN BROWSER

[UPDATE] - I am able to see all the servers now. I overlooked "Source" at the top of my screen in the browser, which was defaulted to "LOCAL." Once I set it to "Internet" all servers populated. Boy do I feel like a dummy.

I'm unable to get any online servers to show up in MP mode, despite toggling between ISDN and CABLE/LAN/DSL, I verified I am online.

Not sure if this is related, but just prior to this, I wasn't even able to access Multiplayer game play until I made a few changes I found in Cesarty's COD 2 Troubleshooting Guide, which was:

1. Disable COD 2 Overlay in Steam settings and COD 2.

2. Copy Steam.dll and Steam2.dll from Steam folder to COD 2 folder.

3. Right-click on CoD2MP_s.exe and CoD2SP_s.exe and go to Properties----Compatibility tab---Compatibility Mode and set "Run This Program in compatibility mode for" to "Windows XP (Service Pack 3), and a little further down on the same screen, under "Settings," choose "Run this program as administrator."

4. Plug in a mic.

Now that I finally got MP mode to come up, I can't get the servers to pop into my MP Server Browser.

Any help is greatly appreciated and an explanation, if possible, as to why this happens so I, and others, can understand how to avoid/fix the issue in the future.
