Yes it does. In fact, both single player and multiplayer work.
I'm a windows 10 user (up to date).
You might find the mic trick useful to play multiplayer mode.

What mic trick? Will it boot up the game and actually show servers?

i think there is a guide (clic on the guide button), but basically u just need to plug in something in ur mic slot (search "plug jack" in google images) and run COD2 in compatibility mode (XP service pack 3).

It still works and people play multiplayer, but you should play Days Of War. It just released and I play that now. It's very similar to cod2, I even like the movement in days of war better than cod2.

It works. Like 300 people play at any time.

Yep, more popular than COD: Ghosts as a matter of fact.

It still works and players play it still. The reason is because it had server browsing and people pay for servers themselves and host. Like cod4 and codwaw.

I did not do anything special at all. I have it on 2 computers. One with windows 7 and the other windows 10. I always use a headset. I just downloaded and played.

Except some already own cod2. Or if not, it's cheaper.

But there is also cod waw.

I'm on windows 8.1 and it works perfect. What I had to do was add the steam.dll file, and the big thing I had to do was enable stereo mix in the windows sound settings. If you don't have stereo mix you can download it from your soundcards driver website.

Then start up cod2MP and let it sit for like 10 minutes. It will be a black screen. For some reason the first time you load cod2mp it takes a long time on the black screen, but then it will load up and take you to the menu. Don't touch or do anything when it's on the black screen.

I understand, its funny, i just removed my realtek sound driver because my sound was lagging when i was listening to music (which then stopped when i removed that program) I will think about this, cause i really dont wanna listen to music with lagg again because of stupid audio driver screwing up the sound, thank you though for your reply
