Single player black screen on "El alamein" mission!

Hi! please help! I've been playing the campaign without problems, until the first british mission. I get a black screen, when i press spacebar it makes a sound like i'm jumping. Also when i try to change the graphics it says that i can't because i'm dead.

Yes. And I'm using windows 10 pro and run the game in windows xp sp3 compatibility mode.

Bingo. Don't expect 10 to work with anything older, regardless of what "compatability mode" you use. I speak from personal experience. #♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

didnt solve it too, but installed a downloaded save game and just skipped the mission :( not the best way but still something, hope this helps someone may it be this year or 5 years ago

It doesn't work because u leave 2 missions uncompleted and you can't go to the next ones :(

I also got a black screen, it was the same problem on the first British mission for me. did anyone solve the issue?

Hi guys! same problem here, the only way to overcome the problem is downloading a complete profile with all mission unlocked and skip the mission. I play cod2 like 15 years ago, and this mission is not particularly important you can see it on youtube if you want :)
