10+ Million in Survival: How to Guide
Hey guys, a while back I posted in a high scores discussion, but thought I'd make a guide on how to achieve a score such as the one you see below, no cheats, glithces or the like.

(I know it says splitter gun ~ but that's only because it took me ages to pick up the plasma cannon!)

Here's a video of the gameplay, my computer belongs in a museum so it didn't handle FRAPs too well, but you can see the strategy:)

Here's a quick guide, which I can revise if people would like!
-Regression Bullets are a must! - ammunition within and regeneration/greater regeneration might work for a bit but I didn't have much luck using them
-Barrel Greaser and Fastshot are essential for a high score, get them as soon as you can
-Poison Bullets and Uranium Filled Bullets stack and are both good, I've had better luck with Poison Bullets as each plasma offshoot can poison a critter
-Avoid telekinetic! I know i had it in the video but if you get fire bullets or plasma overcharge the knock back effect is gone and it can be hard to recover (you need to get a freeze or shield and let the effect wear off!)
-My Favorite Weapon is a good perk, it just takes the pressure off not worrying about getting a random weapon!
-Doctor is a good perk as it hurts monsters a bit more!
-Regeneration is good if you can get it
-Eagle Eyes is a double edged sword - i found it's good early game to spot perks but late game it's helpful to be zoomed in still to make sure you don't hit any monsters, because by that stage it's pretty much one touch and you're dead! *Update* I'd avoid this perk, being able to see exactly what you're doing is more valuable that seeing the whole map.
-I reckon at 10-15 million, if you can take grim deal or deathclock, i'd probably go for it!

I've found the best way to move is in a straight direction, shoot, then move onto the centre of the explosion, then shoot again and move onto the centre etc etc
There comes a point (10+ million) when it get's really tricky to move in such a way as to not touch any of the monsters yet still move around the map, especially changing direction, I'm still working on this but keeping your cursor (maybe higher sensitivity as well) close to your hero means quicker direction switches for both shooting and running.

Bonus Magnet, Out of Thin Air, Bonus Economist are all great perks to get and will help especially late game and are essential for a bigger score (10+ million). Maintaining weapon powerup is almost essential and reflex boost certainly helps! Shield is always awesome and Freeze to help take the pressure off, although once you get into a good killing pattern freeze can mess it up, so i'd only get it if you really need a few seconds to collect your thoughts!

Getting the right perks for a high score does take a lot of patience! If you're lucky enough to get infernal contract early on (3 extra perks) then go for that!

I think that's about it! if there's any questions just ask!

I disagree with some of the info/opinions on this post.

My current high score is around 13 million and I'm not even a frequent player (though I played the hell out of the original.)
I've cleared 10 million a few times now.

I never ever take regression bullets or barrel greaser.
Regression bullets damage your ability to get more perks by draining xp. I don't understand the logic in taking it.

Saying "avoid telekinetic" says a lot.
Never EVER avoid telekentic. It's a core skill.
The thing to avoid is fire bullets and plasma if it'll get ya killed.
Telekinetic is the difference between being able to get a shield/freeze and dying.

Bonus economist and lucky are mandatory. Period.

Slow time high damage allows you to push harder and faster b/c of the crazy damage multiplier during slow time.

Out of thin air is great and can prevent a wipe by randomly spawning that shield or freeze you need.

Eagle eye is always a good thing. Period.
In no scenario is seeing more of the battlefield to search for powerups a bad thing.
Not being able to see far enough can mean a wipe. Always try to get it.

Tough reloader is incredible for swarmer rocket builds. And it works pretty great with other slower reload times like ion cannon.

Go for fatal lottery if you're within the first 200-300k points.
You're not out anything at this point and the xp point bonus is nice.

Find the right weapon+perk synergies.
Swarmer rockets + stationary reloader + my fave weapon + ammunition + living fortress + tough reloader is nuts.
Any Ion gun with +poison is a sick. Especially ion cannon.

Just my 2 cents on survival.
